This was a nice hotel. Good staff especially at the restaurant. Terrific omlet station and servers! Front desk staff nice but didn’t give you enough information.had to go back with so many questions and requests. Great location, beach and pool but everything was overpriced.

We stayed here during the 4th of July week. Our experience was ok. The room was nice. We have been to Destin and the surrounding area many times, but have never stayed here. Typically, we will get a condo to stay for the week. This trip, we were only in town for a few days and therefore decided on a hotel. The hotel was super crowded. It was probably the time of year, but still, super crowded. The pools were packed. They give you a wrist ID since you are staying at the resort. I saw a large number of people without one. I'm assuming they were staying at a nearby hotel. Sandestin is different than what I was used to. Its like a community. The hotel is located inside it. Its not bad, until you get to the beach. Its like the entire community empties out all onto that one beach. the beach was wall to wall people. We are staying at a hotel, so we didn't bring our own chairs or umbrellas. I assumed the hotel would provide some for their guests. As soon as my wife and kids hit the beach entrance, you see a stand where you can purchase chairs and umbrella for the day or half day. For like $50, you can get a beach set-up. I really feel like that should have been included in the price of the room.

Wonderful resort with excellent customer service! When we come back to Florida, we will definitely stay here again. The food is great, the facility is so clean and our beach view room was perfect. We drove from Houston and got here a few hours before check-in. They accommodated us, gave us access to the pool and beach and let us know they would text us when our room was ready. At 12:00pm our room was ready! Incredible customer service.

It was just us two old folks. We were finally taking a honeymoon trip and booked a gulf side room with a perfect view. My husband took his walker but the walk to the room was a little longer than we expected so they gave us use of a wheelchair for the entire stay for free. We did not have to pay for valet because we are both handicapped. We went in and out a lot and the bell service was superb. We ate at the sushi bar one night which was okay--just a little different than standard fare. The breakfast buffet was good, particularly the handmade omelets! I would try to stay in a room where the porch stays in the shade most of the time when it's hot. We didn't venture down to the pool or beach area so I can't comment on that. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. We would definitely go back

Great location. Loved being right on beach. Rooms were big and comfortable. The boys at the valet were super fast and friendly. Loved them! Did 2 days of breakfast room service which was great! Hotel elevators can get a little crowded and there can be a wait. I did have to call and get our room cleaned after 3 days. They also were out of coffee for the rooms our entire stay. We rented the beach chair set up on our first day. Was around $42….in my personal opinion i believe since we are already paying a $40 a day resort fee that beach chairs should be included. The chairs also do not lay completely back for lounging. But beach was nice and not too crowded. Overall Property was very clean. I will definitely be back!

This was my second time visiting the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort. This property is well managed and maintained. Staff are friendly and professional. The property has all the amenities you need to be able to park your car and just relax. On-site restaurants, private beach, pools (indoor and outdoor), spa, fitness center, bar/lounge, coffee shop, etc. Private beach has umbrellas and chairs available for reservation. Water sports are available to rent a short walk down the beach, including access to an inflatable obstacle course in the water that my teenage children spent most of their time on. Will definitely stay at this property again when in the area. Cheers!

My daughter and I spent 7 days at this beautiful place. We truly loved the private beach. The staff on the beach did a great job of keeping people from other resorts from coming on the beach. We watched them making people leave who weren’t staying at the resort. Our room was very nice and housekeeping did a great job. Our lanai was great. It was next to the pools and next to the ocean. I was surprised that there wasn’t a lot of noise from the pool. We were placed in an “accessible” room which we didn’t need but a walk-in shower was nice. The only thing I would suggest would be to put a towel rod next to the shower especially if a handicap person is in the shower, they may not be able to bend over to get the towel off of the floor. Also the placement of the toilet paper holder is not in a convenient place for someone who isn’t very mobile to turn and get it. The only other thing would be to put in better outlets next to the bed and out chargers kept falling out of the outlet. We cannot wait to come back!!! Our girls trip was perfect!!! Thank you Hilton Sandestin!!!

This place is not what it used to be. I have tried to add in every extra ($$$) to make sure that we have the best experience and it just hasn’t happened. We paid for the beach service and even added in an additional set so we could have some extra space. We are on the 2nd row (which isn’t the problem) however this hotel is now allowing people who are not even guests to set up tents in between the 2nd and first rows. We brought it up to the attendees and they said that it is allowed. There is no point to book this service anymore with the hotel unless you have a guaranteed first row spot.

We spend our 4th of July here every year since 2017 except 2020. Every time we go everything is just excellent. Nice views, they go out of your way to accommodate your needs. Room was spacious The kids had their own area at the. jr suite

We booked a room for 2 nights, and had a blast during our stay. Our room was upgraded and we had an amazing view of the beach. Being a Hilton Honors member, made the difference I believe. Definitely would come back. Planning to make this an annual trip for the whole family. Although it is more than 9 hours drive from where we live, but definitely worth it.

This was our 3rd time visiting. It was a disappointment and we won't be back. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The restaurants on the property were overpriced. This was not a pleasant trip

We have stayed at this resort before and had an amazing time but this visit only deserves a 3 due to the rude customer service at the front desk from beginning to end. They were condescending when we reported an issue about a bad odor in our room which was never resolved. They were snippy whenever we asked a question throughout our stay especially when we questioned what miscellaneous charges were on our bill making me feel like I was just a complainer. The manager finally realized what it was, stated it must be something new when the bill is printed out, and now realized what I was talking about. Never apologizing and after speaking to me in a condescending manner. When you call to speak to someone at the front desk for weeks prior to arrival, you are told they are too busy no matter what time of the day or night you call. You are told to leave a message and after numerous messages left, you receive no call backs. This all said, Mike in guest services was amazing and made us feel welcomed each day. The restaurant staff from Sandcastle to Barefoot to the beach were wonderful. They couldn’t be more hospitable. Housekeeping had their issues though. If you want an amazing meal, Seagars. The food and service and excellent. Final summation, it’s definitely worth staying at the resort but be prepared for lack of customer service if you need anything from the front office or have an issue.

Understaffed from valet arrival to departure. Carried own bags both ways. Poor food options, actually sad. Terrible cleaning. Had to beg night manager for a room clean after being out all day. Contacted hotel multiple times for an item left behind. No response. $45 for old Beach chair setup. Pools overrun by kids. Only hot tub filled with very young children the entire stay.

Two years in a row and would not recommend staying here as a couple. I can’t speak to the value as our room is comped by the conference my husband lectures for. However the outdated and worn rooms and a few quirky hotel “rules” would keep me from recommending staying here again if given the choice. Location : hotel is a sprawling complex that sits in the back of a gated golf community. Takes a few minutes of slow driving and many stops signs to reach it. Parking is also spread out and chances of getting one close to building is slim . Paid Valet is available. Unloading : luggage carts are not for personal use and only available with a valet Check in & out : check in was delayed until around 5pm for us instead of 4pm which delayed us getting to a conference event on time. A late Check out was denied (first for us) which we needed since my husband was the last lecturer at the conference here. Rooms : dated and worn. Dusty and dirty if you look behind and under things. Outlets : old and sketchy. None by bedside tables. AC : important In the south. Struggles to keep humidity down in room set at 62. Carpet will feel wet at times even after keeping blinds and porch door closed at all times Outdoor spaces : pools and pool decks kept clean and presentable. Enough room for mostly everyone. And it’s Destin so the beaches are world class. Elevators : didn’t have problems getting one during check and check out for the most part. Overall average at best and not what I look for in a beach

Front check-in to check-out, and everything in between, Hilton Sandestin was a fantastic family vacation for our family of nine. Newly renovated rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and beach were pristine. But the front desk, breakfast buffet and housekeeping staff is what this review is meant to highlight—10 out of 10 all around. Dennys, Chris, Rachelle, Crystal, Kayana, Bradley and Matt—a huge thank you for your hard work and awesome attitudes!! Your staff is one of the best, and I knew if there were any concerns, they would do what they could to fix it. Thank you for the wonderful family vacation, Hilton Sandestin!
