It's wonderful that you can walk around and drink your alcoholic drinks but all of the stores say no drinks allowed. So you can't really walk around and drink while shopping.

Our family loved it!

This is a super cute place to visit!! We had margaritas from It's 5 o'clock somewhere and they were 10/10!!! There were plenty of places to eat, and plenty of things to do with the family!!

It's cute, but everything is monetized and rather expensive.

Very beautiful

Cool place but we didn't find any restaurants we wanted to try! They need a Paula deens or a cheesecake factory 👀

Loved the shops and the drone show.

Came on vacation and had a blast. Everything was convenient and centrally located making it easy to get to. The food was slightly above average in taste and presentation but the cost was definitely above average. Beach is wonderful with warm waters.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for a fun, relaxed day exploring Florida's Emerald Coast. The village has a charming atmosphere with colorful buildings, unique boutiques, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Whether you're looking for a leisurely lunch, shopping, or simply wandering around for a few hours, there's something for everyone.

One stop you shouldn't miss is the ice cream shop! It was the perfect treat while strolling through the village and made for a great way to cool off on a warm Florida afternoon.

My favorite discovery, however, was a hidden little surprise that many visitors may never find. Walk all the way to the back of the village, continue past the shops, and weave through the outdoor seating area of one of the local bar and grills. You'll discover Baytowne Wharf's Fishing Pier, a peaceful boardwalk that stretches out over the marshes and into the bay.

The walk itself is beautiful, but the real reward is reaching the end of the pier, where you'll find comfortable seating overlooking the marshes and bay. It's the perfect place to slow down, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and watch the local fishermen at work. We spent quite a while there simply taking in the scenery, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the entire visit.

From an accessibility standpoint, I was pleasantly surprised. The fishing pier has no stairs, making it accessible for wheelchairs and other mobility devices. The surface can be a little bumpy in places because of the boardwalk construction, but if you're comfortable navigating an uneven wooden surface, it is very manageable and well worth the walk.

Whether you're shopping, dining, enjoying an ice cream, or simply looking for a peaceful place to watch the water, The Village of Baytowne Wharf offers something for visitors of all ages and many mobility levels. Don't stop at the shops—the fishing pier at the back of the village was our favorite discovery and is a hidden gem that's absolutely worth seeking out.

Baytowne Wharf is a really fun place to spend some time in the evenings while you’re visiting the Destin/Miramar Beach area. There is a lot to do for kids here and adults as well. They have restaurants, a state where they play live music regularly, a back area where there are jungle gym style climbers (the type that you have to wear a tether to participate with! Extra fun!), a short zip line, and a really cool pier that you can watch yachts come in from and fish on if you bring your own bait and tackle! So much to do! And it’s clean and well maintained.
Definitely a must visit if you’re finding yourself stir crazy in the middle of your vacation!

And for some reason Google is trying to get me to review a hotel. This is a “village” area that is part of a larger Sandestin Resort, but it’s not a hotel. It’s more of a walk around and hang out while doing fun activities and eating at restaurants if you want type place.

There are a lot of issues that you will find if you stay here for a couple of days or more. Overall the restaurants are terrible because of the very bad service. There are hardly any local residents that work here. The entire workforce is outsourced from out of the country which means the seasonal work has no experience and it shows because they just don't care. The food prices are drastically overpriced and coupled with the horrendous service received here you wish you went outside of the gates for a restaurant.

Walked the grounds with our three grandchildren. We had a great meal at Slick Lips. The granddaughters took part in the group dance party! Great evening for all!
