the food was great and would definitely recommend. my only negative is they use disposable plates, cups and silverware. does not seem very ocean friendly.

The staff is nice and the vibes are there it’s just the food is terrible. I will never go back that fried mahi mahi has us still sick, chest hurting, not wanting to eat and throwing up.

Late dinner for four. Mostly standard beach food with a couple nice twists and unique entrance. Wine and bar selection not very wide. The atmosphere is picnic table on the beach. But that's why you would go there.Mostly outdoor seating. Literally over the beach. Service was very friendly and above average. The blackened mahi and the mahi poor boy were both excellent. Our table also gave rave reviews for the fried shrimp.

I had this crab omelette twice on vacation back in July and when I tell you I am still talking about it every chance I get 3months later, mean it. The views from this place a phenomenal, the service was great and I'll be dreaming of that crab omelette and roulade for the rest of my life! I promise if I end up back in Miramar, this will be my breakfast every morning! I think people should realize this is a casual beach spot and not some high end steak and lobster joint. Also loved the crab cakes & fish tacos that they delivered down to our umbrella on the beach for no extra charge in like 20min flat.

I was excited to revisit Whale Tales after a few years, but unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. While the atmosphere and location remain as charming as ever, the quality of the food has noticeably declined.

The dishes I tried lacked the freshness and flavor I remember enjoying in the past. It's a shame, as Whale Tales used to be a go-to spot for delicious seafood. Perhaps this was just an off night, but I hope they can regain their former glory.

We've been before and were definitely underwhelmed, but this time was different. I guess it just depends on what you get. This time I got the fried mahi mahi wrap and it was delicious!! I wish I got it one more time before we headed out of town/back home :( Service was great and view is amazing as always.

I have to admit I was not thrilled about eating here due to being a 3.8 on maps but I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the service was hit or miss but the food was delish. The view and patio are amazing.
I ordered fish tacos the first time and fish & chips the second time. Both were outstanding.
Family friendly, great place for families.
Cocktails are great, a frozen marg hit the spot in the sun.
