Quaint little restaurant in Mt. Dora. Definitely has a German vibe about it. The menu is simple. Definitely take a look before you sit down to make sure it has something that appeals to you. That being said, I found my brats to be super tasty and worth ordering again. The German potato salad was also delicious. Service was friendly, but we never got our waters refilled, so that was a bit uncomfortable.

Went here and really enjoyed the food and service. Had the Roulade and some Black Forest cake for dessert. Outstanding. The kraut was pretty decent. Wife had the apple strudel which she absolutely loved. Quaint and small, and a nice German flair.

We've eaten here a few times and have really enjoyed it. Got on their website tonight to confirm how late they would be open. Their website and Google said 9pm on Friday and kitchen closed 30 minutes prior to closing which is reasonable in my book. We arrived around 7:15pm just to be told the kitchen was closed and they were doing drinks to-go only. Unfortunately, we took our business elsewhere tonight. Hopefully it'll be a better experience the next time.

This was our first time here in the German restaurant, and La took such phenomenal care of us!! We had some delightful dishes with the most scrumptious sauces and mustard for the pretzel and bratwurst as well ~ we will definitely be back to sample more of the authenticity from the menu again and again! Friendly atmosphere where the patrons were so inviting as well, and in an adorable little place in Mt Dora

I am from Germany and this is by far the best German restaurant in the area. We came during the Mount Dora art festival so they had a limited menu which is understandable with the amount of people.Highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff was friendly, the food was beyond disappointing. The red cabbage was mush, the mustard was not homemade, it tasted like gulden's brown mustard. The brats were overdone and tasted packaged. The schweinbraten was a watery "hormel" pork loin with packaged brown gravy. The pork actually left a pool of water on the plate, under the gravy. It is unfortunate that at an arts festival, when you should be showcasing your best, you limit the menu and provide sub-par food. Sad.

Had a limited menu for the special event going on this weekend in town, however it was good and covered a fair spectrum of their foods.

I try not to give small businesses poor reviews, but this was some of the worst food and beverage I've ever had the displeasure of having. I went during the art festival and guess I that's their excuse to serve watered-down beer and dry schnitzel, that or that's their normal fare.I'm normally an easy guy to please with beer, but this was hands down the most watery beer I've ever had. The busch light would've been better. The owners are from Munich. If you served beer like that in Munich, you'd be imprisoned or exiled, which the latter may have happened. The schnitzel was dry and flavorless. The only thing that was any good was the brats...which were not made in house. The gravy I suspect was bought at the nearest Walmart. The closest thing to flavor in the food came from the owner's grandkids blowing dust into my food from the disgusting outside facade. If one of the spider webs from the ceiling fell down on my plate that may have been better. As a final insult they tried to charge us for the 2 beers I sent back. The second beer was sent out after the server insisted the "new girl" watered it down just a little too much. What's the right amount of watering for a german beer? Absolutely criminal.I implore you do NOT go.
But if a drive(Mt Dora) but good is 5 StarWaitress LA her name does whatever it takes for you to feel at home. Sauerbraten and potato pancakes with red cabbage with succulent gravy to die for. Why are they so far away from Citrus County ?
