We ordered the Happy Hour Special (which was whatever entree you wanted, whatever starter you wanted, and 1 glass of wine). We have no complaints about the meal. It was very good. We had chosen to sit outside, but in hindsight I won't do that again (noisy and at least evening it was buggy). That's on us though. The service wasn't bad but nor was it very good.
The early dining special is fantastic!! Even thought the restaurant was short staffed we had good service and the staff were very apologetic about the wait times. It was a lovely evening.
A server we know at The Cafe on 8th recommended we try Alberto’s for dinner. We were one of the last diners of the night on a Thursday and we were given a warm welcome. Sometimes when the help wants to close up early you get the rush. We got the opposite. We ordered pasta bolognese and a ravioli and sausage dish. Both offerings were stellar and generous. We didn’t have to request or pay for fresh (really fresh and hot) premium bread. Oil and grated parm were on the table....
