Food was over-priced and I ended up getting sick s couple of hours later. Foodborne Illness? Probably. The outside dining is nice but not enough shade. Full on sun with no pull-down blinds to help deflect the heat and light.

We were shown to our Gulf front table and were very impressed with the beautiful view and lovely atmosphere of the restaurant. Our server Marius was friendly and had an extensive knowledge of the menu! He lead us to choose 2 amazing entrees and out taste buds were not disappointed. It is fine dining and this is reflected in the pricing, but the views and quality of the food makes it all worth it.

Parking: Parking is Valet only and I suggest you bring you time when you pick up your car as the space is very cramped at times.

This place was incredible. For a limited menu it still offers such a variety of food. Absolutely delicious and you can't beat the beach view!

The highlight of our time at Baleen was the service! Andy, our server, went above and beyond in every way — even bringing me big spray when I was getting bitten! When my partner asked for a mezcal drink they were unfamiliar with, he googled it and figured out how to make it. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure our experience was all that it could be. That five star service is what we’re paying for. Especially since our food was a little underwhelming. But we would definitely go back for drinks, the view, and the service!

The only downside with the food is that there wasn't that much variety on the menu, at least in my own opinion. But what my wife and I ate was utterly wonderful. My steak was PERFECT, and my wife referred to her meal (some kind of lamb) as a work of artIt's also pricey, which is to be expected in a fancy Naples Hotel on the beach.Oh, and the view of the gulf is beautiful as well. So I totally recommend the restaurant on balance, as long as you go in prepared to spend a LOTParking is a bit tough to find but the valet service is only $5 (plus tip)

Celebrating a birthday should be a memorable occasion filled with joy, great food, and impeccable service, especially when it’s spent at a place as highly acclaimed as Baleen at La Playa Naples. The anticipation of dining at Baleen, driven by its reputation, set high expectations for my birthday celebration with friends. Among the many things we looked forward to, the chance to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in Southwest Florida (SWFL) was at the top of our list. Indeed, the view did not disappoint, offering a spectacular backdrop that accentuated the evening. However, our experience with the food and service fell short of the restaurant's esteemed reputation. Our evening began at the bar, an hour before our 8 PM reservation, where we explored the cocktail menu. The Coco Tini, selected with high hopes, unfortunately, tasted so disappointing that I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. This initial setback was a prelude to further challenges. Upon approaching the front desk at 8 PM, ready for our table, we were met with unexpected news: there was no estimate on when our table would be ready, despite our reservation and early arrival.Eventually seated, the breathtaking view offered a moment of solace. Yet, the service did not mirror this beauty. It took our server 10 minutes just to approach us for our initial order of drinks and appetizers, setting a tone of delay that continued throughout the evening. Even then, our order arrived incomplete, missing the bread appetizer, which we had to request again. The appetizers, once served, were delightful, especially the mushroom risotto. The main course presented a mixed bag. My lobster bucatini was exceptional, standing out as the highlight of our meal. However, my friends’ experiences varied significantly - both the grouper and red fish specials did not live up to our expectations, with the latter being described as the worst fish dish we had ever encountered. The chocolate dessert was a redeeming factor of the night, which was nothing short of outstanding. However, even this sweet note was dampened by the prolonged wait for our check, compounded by our server's absence, requiring the assistance of another server to conclude our evening.Reflecting on the night, the consensus is that future visits to Baleen might be limited to enjoying a drink, an appetizer, and, undoubtedly, the view. While the scenery of Baleen at La Playa Naples remains unrivaled, the overall dining experience, marred by subpar service and inconsistent food quality, suggests room for improvement to match the breathtaking ambiance that initially drew us in.

The view is spectacular. However the experience was not worth the prices on the menu. We wanted an elevated romantic experience to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Our table location was fantastic. Alongside the beach and near the out door green space. Had we known the green space doubles as a playground, we would have asked for a different table. I love to see kids laughing and having fun, but if we are paying $400 for a romantic sunset Anniversary Dinner for 2, we do not want to have screaming children and soccer balls running up to the table as part of my experience. My husband ordered a medium rare steak and it came out well done. The server was very quick see for himself and to acknowledge the error. He was extremely polite and offered to bring another one. I began to eat my food alone so it wouldn’t get cold while we waited for the second steak to be brought out. Again, not the romantic experience we were looking for. When we asked for our check, the server brought us someone else’s. An honest mistake that happens but coupled with the rest, it again somehow seemed to undermine our whole dining experience.Over all, very disappointing. Next time we will book elsewhere for our special celebration.
