Good music, good people. The guy in the front will pay more attention to you if you are a girl, but just get your order from the back, he's not as busy there. No parking really, but that may keep you from driving home if you forget where you parked lol

Only a handful of people here because it was cold outside. But this is the place to go for live music from talented musicians. Laid back, casual, and next to the beach. The ideal place to hang with friends or have a date. Take advantage of it while it's still here! It will close next year because developers are turning it into condos...?

Came here a few times over the week. Great to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat. The people watching in and out is great, so have a drink and sit back. Servers work hard and very friendly. Get the Cuban nachos and the pretzel!

The Beach box is a casual beach bar that serves food—good BAR food. They have great live music, cold drinks and noshes steps from Vanderbilt Beach.
They don't make bars like this one often, and I'm sad to hear that they'll be moving. Just close enough to the beach to where you can easily bounce to and from, but just far enough away to not bother anyone on the beach that may want a little quiet time. Great, reasonably priced drinks and a fun staff. Food if you need it plus fun bar games on hand as well as the occasional live music. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, it has to be one of the better beach side bars in the state.

We first got drinks and sat out front listening to great live music. The selection of drinks was terrific; they had drinks I’ve never seen before. I ordered a Tiny Closer and it did not disappoint!! Then….. I needed to use the bathroom and the girl before me warned me about it. It was FILTHY with toilet paper and excrement mounding out of the top of it??!! Then, to boot there WAS NO SOAP DISPENSER AT ALL!!! When I told my husband about this, he said there was NONE in the men’s room, either! I would have given this 5 stars but not after going to the bathroom! Think about the staff not washing their hands?? Gross! This place should be shut down! How can inspectors allow this?!!

Our server was great! Thanks for quickly bringing Lola a bowl of ice cold water and keeping the wife's beer flowing. Happy puppy & wife equals happy life (for me!)

We stayed at the beach box cafe condo and it is absolutely best location for Vanderbilt Beach. Very nice people run the place a little bit understaffed as is the case with many companies right now. The place is in need of some maintenance. Unfortunately I don't believe it will be happening since we have found out that it will be demolished for a future highrise building. So sad to see such a nice building to be removed. Current owners put a lot of work into it. Condo amenities were absolutely awesome. If you have the chance to stay here I would suggest it but make sure you do it before next summer.
