The service was excellent. The pastrami good. While I waited for my to go sandwich the Ukranian woman let me taste a couple of their delicasies, which were all very good. The problem was the portion and the price. $25.00 for a pastrami on rye? And for that price you'd think it would be piled so high you can't get your hands around it. Not the case. Southwest, Florida suffers from a paucity of delicatessens. Katz's New York deli certainly helps the situation. My wife had a tongue sandwich. It was good, but not great. I had a turkey sandwich. It was good as well. The sandwich was big enough so that I could eat half at another meal. Their prepared meal section and desserts will require future visits.

Met the owner who is part of the Katz’s family from NYC who was very nice and engaging. Good food, especially the chopped liver and matzo ball soup. The pastrami Rueben was good, wish it was chopped rather than sliced. Food was a little expensive but to be expected given how prepared brisket isn’t cheap. A cute place for a good NY Deli meal.
