Been to Anita’s a few times for breakfast. Quick service and well done breakfast. Ask for the bacon, hashbrowns and home fries to be CRISPY. They have decent sausage gravy, but skip the biscuit. Toast is the way to go here. Will return!

Delicious food. Breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong. We love the Broasted chicken.
*Updated on 3/2025 Did Anita's get sold? Something is very different. The taste of the food was not good. We probably won't be going back. There are many restaurants in the area. Getting a really bad meal makes me put you on my list of "Never Going Back" Kind of a bummer!!

We arrived at Anita's one half hour before closing. Normally we'd never go to any restaurant that close to closing. But we wanted to share one of our favorite places to eat with a guest. I did ask if they minded us ordering and they kindly said yes.

Our waitress was attentive so we got drinks and food ordered quickly. Food was a little slower which we didn't mind-our concern was having time to eat it and get going so they could finish their day.

Food ordered was the sliders, a hamburger, and reuben, all with the most amazing beer battered fries. Everything was very tasty-highly recommend those fries!

We appreciate their kind care and look forward to the remodel coming. Please don't change the food!😁

Kid-friendliness: Families can all enjoy Anita's.

Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair access is available.

We walked in excited for some homestyle comfort, but comfort was the last thing we got. Asked for a booth—denied. Drinks arrived—no straws. Coffee? Burned beyond recognition. Ordered Salmon Benedict, got a Salmon Sandwich instead. Finally got the right dish, only to find a raw onion the size of my disappointment and potatoes that looked (and tasted) like they’d survived a house fire. First visit, last visit.

My coworkers and I are working in the area, and we eat here 2 or 3 times a week. The homemade recipes and service are top notch. Maya was our waitress today, she has been before, and she is always welcoming, energetic, and responsive! Look forward to our next visit. Thank you Maya, and Anita's for keeping our bellies full and morale high!

What happened at Anita’s? We had breakfast today, both of us were very disappointed. My medium over eggs were hard. My sausage patties were hockey pucks. And my husbands sausage and gravy was not good. Oh yeah, the coffee was old and burnt. Don’t think we’ll be back 😩

We have eaten at Anita's several times and I don't know what happened today. Horrible service, coffee was cold, wife's ham was thin and tough, not worth the extra cost, home fries were not fully cooked. We had to ask for and then wait for the toast that was ordered with the meal. Asked for a warm up for the coffee and waited a long time. Had to get up and ask for the bill!! Worst experience of eating out in a long time!

Simply great breakfast and lunch. Creative, delicious meals that are flavorful and hearty. Had chicken and waffles that were to die for. But attention to detail, like candied jalapeño bits on top make the meals here special. And the service is always quick, efficient and professional. Ambiance is a quirky classic car motif. Overall a great experience !! Highly recommend !!!!

Horrible ! A friend and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat on the way to Sarasota shopping. What a mistake. The restaurant was not busy less than half. The tables were full, so this should not have happened! We were promptly seated , my waitress was a little busy, which I didn’t understand, she greeted us, and then asked us for a drink order. Ok 2 cokes ! Unfortunately, it was all we had. I hadn’t seen my friend in a while so we were talking, we finished our cokes 🤷‍♀️ hello problem here. We watched three other tables get seated after us. Our waitress noticed the empty cokes and promptly brought two more. I said, ok foods coming out !
WE WAITED OVER A FULL HOUR FOR EGGS AND BACON
I went to the service station to have 5 waitresses walk by and not even make eye contact ! At that point the seater asked me if I was looking for my check ? Nope food dear 🤷‍♀️
After an additional 20 minute wait our food partially came out , if you want to call it edible ? My friend's sunny side up eggs were at best medium with broken yokes , my OVER HARD BROKE YOLK WELL DONE EGGS ,were sitting in a puddle of grease and not even close to done! I looked at her when she sat it down and said , Seriously? She started a song and dance about how the potatoes aka hashbrowns was too wet and they were working on re-cooking them. I promptly told her NO THANK YOU ! We’re leaving! On the way out I asked a waitress how much the cokes were m she said you’ll have to wait a minute !!! Seriously I do not want two cokes I want to pay for my drinks .. 350 a piece. Seriously ? I tossed7 dollars on the counter , oh no no no you don’t have to pay for them !,,

YES I DO I WILL NEVER be back

If you are looking for good service and a cook that actually knows how to cook.

I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GO HERE!

Strike 3 bye bye until possibly someone else who knows the restaurant business purchases it

What a GREAT restaurant discovery!

The staff is warm and friendly staff with an incredible food selection and an extensive specials and Blood Mary menu!

We started off with a round of homemade Bloody Mary’s and Michelada (red beer). They have an excellent selection of speciality Bloody Mary’s.

The food came out hot, delicious, and the portions are very generous!

We ordered the Greek omelette (perfectly cooked and so tasty), the Smoked Salmon Benedict with home fries (its wild caught salmon with an absolutely delicious Hollandaise sauce), and I LOVED the new Southern Crunch Chicken Sandwich which was out of this world (gigantic chicken breast with a tasty double batter and drizzled with homemade cowboy honey mustard).
.
Special thanks to Ruby who greeted us so warmly, our server Amy took great care of us, and the new owner Jason was so pleasant (and has exciting plans for Anita’s).

We LOVE Anita’s!!!

The chicken and waffles were literally the best I have ever tried. The breading was so flakey and the chicken was juicy! I would love to see this on the permanent menu as it was a special. Our server was super sweet and very attentive as well!

50s and 60s music. Route 66 vibe. Old muscle cars pics. GREAT FOOD. We had a big party so the service was slower than normal.
