Love this place! Old time Florida. You order ice cream thru window then sit on one of the benches to eat. Meet people from all over.

Ice cream here is so good! And you get a good amount for the money. I always get orange and vanilla twist, my friend loves the pineapple, my niece is all about the chocolate. Give it a try, you will love it!

Although the orange groves are closed, they offer soft-serve ice cream that can't be beat. Our party ordered the vanilla and orange swirl in large cones. Delicious. No question, this ice cream stand is a favorite of the locals. It is open every day from 11AM-6PM.
Nokomis Groves is just that, an old school orange orchard accompanied by a rustic store offering fresh produce and trinkets for memories to be shared. Aesthetically, not much to look at but, the highlight is their frozen custard / sherbet. They can prepare cones featuring their pineapple, orange, lime, vanilla and chocolate flavor selection, however, their specialty swirls of pineapple & orange or lime & chocolate are what you are there for. The portions are sizable and range from $4 - $5.50 depending on the cone type. There is a modest shaded outdoor bench seating area along the front of porch of the store.Also, they have a website for ordering produce for gifts as well as transacted in the store.
If the older lady behind the counter wasnt so rude every single time we go then maybe it would be a higher review. My family has been going here for years and we love the location and the ice cream! The customer service with this one individual has been an issue for years for our family and many others that come here.
Ice cream is still good. The shop is permanently closed. Likely won't survive covid
