Pretty nice, cool place. It was my first time. I expect to see more people by I guess it was the timing... the plates were kind of small in portion, but the food was good ??

Pretty nice place. Was welcoming when I walked in, though my waiter service wasn't up to par. The food was delicious and fresh, although it seemed as if the portions were small. Overall, it was a very nice, quiet charming place. I will be back!
Parking: Parking was easy. You have parking in the back and in the front of the restaurant.

It was cool. Kind of pricey for the Captain’s combo. We are visiting and this was one of the recommended places for fresh seafood. Coming from Charleston, we really wanted fresh and didn’t wanna be scammed in Miami Beach. Overall, no complaints other than the conch being a bit too gummy/chewy. Fried shrimp and Covina very food. Skip the fries and get another side. Beans and rice were good. If you’re in the city, it’s worth it but probably wouldn’t make the drive from Miami Beach again

Support local! We love local, we love fresh! Captain Jim's or CJ's market + restaurant is a fabulous local eatery with super fresh seafood!
Totally hidden gem in North Miami. Conch chowder, lobster bisque are on point ☝?
My daughter had a fried snapper sandwich. She scored it a 10⭐ out of 5. My grilled grouper sandwich was delicious and the side of plantains were cooked perfect! Hubby had shrimp tacos. More hidden mean under the mound of slaw. He said it was a winner ?.
The only thing that would have made this better would have been a full dinning room of eaters.
Come and try this local place. Support local. Eat family owned and operated. Captain Jim thank you. ❤️

Great hole in the wall seafood restaurant. The fish was delicious and fresh. The red beans and rice hot the spot as well. The conch salad was great as a starter.

Hidden gem! It was my third visit to Captain Jim's. For starters, we had Fried Cracked Conch and fried Calamari. It was my first time eating conch, and it was delicious. Calamari was crispy and fresh. Then I tried Caribbean Fish Soup. I liked it. Our main dish was a Captain's Combo, consisting of the day's catch, a conch, shrimp, and a side. Great choice. Captain Jim's has a wide selection of fresh seafood, where you can have a delicious meal without spending hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend it!

The food was incredible! Tried fried conch as an appetizer and being our first time we loved it. My husband had shrimp creole and said it was some of the best he’s had in a long time. I had the scallop scampi and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend CJ’s Seafood Market & Restaurant ??

I always find fresh corvina and salmon here. They are already skinned and fileted. The price is comparable or slightly less than some of the fisheries at Port of Miami. No long waits.
I recommend Corvina a la Francaise, Chicken Parmesan, Lobster Bisque, and Shrimp and Grits. My son loves the shrimp po boy sandwich.

The captains combo was pretty overpriced for the portion size.
All of their food is amazing though. The guava cake, grits, and fried lobster were so good i had to order more to go. The lady at the front was super nice and helpful also.

Frozen seafood. Not fresh. Not wild caught. Bad taste. Over cooked. Very expensive.

I went there fue the raw oysters, I like mine with Lee & Perrings Worchester Sauce and lemon, with a bit of salt. They didn't have the L&P Worchester Sauce but had the Heinz kind. Some of the items I was told weren't fresh, like the scallops...that was disappointing.
The waitress was cool and she was pleasant and up front.
Will return with my own Worchester Sauce next time unless I find another place that serves raw oysters between now and then.
