Marcelina’s Is an Italian restaurant located in Ocala. The food was good, the atmosphere nice and the staff great. We found it a bit shady that they added an automatic 25% gratuity to our bill and then asked for an additional gratuity and added a ghost service charge. The noise level made it impossible to have a conversation.
Do not let the fact that this restaurant is in an older strip mall fool you. Once you eat here you will never go back to one of those national chains that shall not be named. The atmosphere is intimate with an emphasis on quality service. Staff is attentive without smothering. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the grouper francese and lobster ravioli. Perfect. Everything about this place is exceptional. The staff is extremely attentive, polite, professional, personable and welcoming, to a higher degree than I've seen anywhere else. The atmosphere is fantastic with low lighting, soft music, neatly set tables, and fine art on the walls.
