West Orange Creamery and Soda Fountain

This is hands down the best ice cream in the Orlando area, and just wait until you try the ones with a little boozy twist!

They serve Hershey’s brand ice cream, but what really makes this place special is the atmosphere.... it feels like stepping back into the 80s in the best possible way. The staff are friendly, respectful, and clearly take pride in what they do.

The seasonal flavors are fantastic, and it’s clear a lot of care goes into keeping things fresh and fun. This shop deserves way more attention than the disgraceful Twistee Treat down the road (check out my review on that one).

If you want great service, nostalgia, and seriously delicious ice cream, this is the spot. ;)

I got a milkshake and I was halfway through it and there was a piece of glass in it. Terrible experience and it cut my mouth.

Standard, old-school ice cream shop. Offers kiddie + small - large ice cream sizes. I liked the range of flavors, but wished the seasonal flavors were a little more interesting (since they’re limited editions). Currently, they have a pumpkin flavor, but no special flair — just regular pumpkin. I removed a star since the flavor range is very basic, similar to what I’d get at a grocery store and the limited edition flavor wasn’t even particularly special. I was a little disappointed. Trying something different is why I’d go to a locally-owned or small business run ice cream shop vs get ice cream at Publix or wherever.

It’s cool that they offer wine and ice cream pints to go.

If you close at 9pm I don't expect to walk in at 845 with many of your products shuts down for the evening and all the chairs stacked on tables. Schedule your employees so they can serve customers till 9 before doing most of their closing, instead of them already having most closing done so they can get out of there at 9.

The sugar free icecream was delicious! Even though the young girls didn't know what they kind of sweetener they used to make it because they said it wasn't fully sugar free...also they didn't know what free gift we got once we checked in with yelp via the signage they had when we walked in.

Overall an excellent old-school ice cream shop! They serve Hershey brand ice cream (no soft serve, just scoops) and change out seasonal flavors. They do have limited hours, so always check to be sure they are open before you drive up there. Also, check the weekday specials, they are nice bonus!

Excellent small batch ice cream, not to expensive and large variety of flavor and combinations with your favorite wine.
