“I've been in FL for several months and have been hungry for a Detroit style coney hot dog. I've had 5 Guys (yechh . . . and $7 for just a dog), Sam's Club (very good and a bargain) but they're not a Detroit coney. I found ref to B's (located at Lowes Orange City) and tried it today . . . EXCELLENT! I complemented the vendor while leaving a tip saying they were very close to Detroit's except lacked the snap in each bite. (Detroit's use casing weiners) He immediately whipped me up another dog using Sabrett brand Weiner with casing at no charge. It was spot on. I'll be back. Oh yeah, the prices are right too.“

The manager kindly replaced it and offered a discount, which we appreciated, but the second lasagna still only had one layer of pasta. “I personally am not a huge fan of olive garden, this was my first time back in 25 years, I went with someone else that wanted to go. The food was pretty decent, as bland as I remembered. However the service at this restaurant was beyond fantastic! I can't say enough about how well we were treated. Prompt attentive etc... I love the atmosphere in this restaurant for a Saturday evening it was a moderate level of sound plenty of people but seated properly. I enjoyed myself and might even go back before another 25 years lol“

“Urban Brick - DeLand, FL I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years, and I don't often write reviews -- but Urban Brick really deserves one! I've been here several times now, and every visit has been fantastic. The food is absolutely amazing -- full of flavor and clearly made with care. They're known for their Italian dishes, and as someone who once owned an Italian restaurant myself, I can honestly say they're doing it right. The service is excellent too -- friendly, attentive, and genuine. Last night I had the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was just perfect. My cousin had the catch of the day and said it was incredible. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Huge thanks to whoever runs this wonderful place. You're doing an outstanding job. Can't wait to come back!“

“I Am seventy nine years old. I bought my first vegetarian Pizza. I have to say that was the best vegetarian Pizza. I have ever ever ate if you like vegetarian Pizza and like it with a little wetness in it from the vegetables. “We have come to absolutely love this place. We moved to DeBary about a year and a half ago and picked up pizza here the first night we moved in. Sooo good! Even better is the atmosphere inside. Very warm and inviting. Their white pizza is out of this work! Excellent service as well.

“Time for a new review. Last time I visited I was pretty cruel. But after a few years my wife and I decided to visit Hungry Howie's Deland again to see how they've done.

The store is remarkably cleaned up, with new drink equipment, new counter tops and tile work. The old ratty tables have all been replaced with much better stuff that fits their business better.

The employees aren't just friendly, it's apparent that they are happy to work there and their focus is on the customer. My previous time there the parmesan cheese and pepper flakes had been replaced by a sign that if you wanted them you'd be paying extra. The dispensers for in-store eaters are back, as are the napkins! The customer focus of the place is striking.

We ordered two large pizzas, one with two kinds of pepperoni and the other with double sausage and no marinara sauce. That drives my wife's digestive system into full revolt and I don't need to get into the details. She took or order and then repeated it back to ensure it was right. That didn't happen last time!

Then, as some here have remarked, the kitchen made one of the pizzas wrong. But instead of just handing the pizza to us and daring us to find the problem, the server announced the problem and asked if we could take the time for them to make a pizza the way we ordered. We didn't have to catch the problem, THEY did and then they proposed a solution.

We accepted and she let us keep the mistakenly made one as well. The pizzas were great. The crust was tasty, the Cajun seasoning was perfect, the sauce was flavorful with a great mix of spice, the cheese was perfect and there was lots of it. But the biggest improvement of all was that the pepperonis were crowded all over my pizza. I had more in one slice than I had on the entire pizza last time. And they tasted incredible, taking the focus of the flavor in an assertive way like pepperoni is supposed to. The sausage pizza was similar, with more sausage on one slice than we got on the entire pizza when we gave Hungry Howie's a well deserved bad review last time.

Hungry Howie's DeLand is 100% redeemed. Now the place is fun to visit, has great food and greater employees. What an amazing turnaround!“

“This location is so consistently good. We ordered 8 Pizzas during the peak time this Friday. I showed up 25 minutes after ordering and they were obviously busy.... the pizzas were ready to go! The young dude in the back making the pizzas was chill, making it happen. We definitely recommend this location. Thank you!“

“This one is tricky. The food is good. A little pricey, but good. The service is almost always friendly, and it is a regular stop for us. I really like the meatballs and spaghetti. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about but you are there for the food. We've never eaten in, always take out because it gets crowded and difficult to get a table. The take out can take a LONG time, so if that's the plan call well ahead of when you plan on eating.

Parking: Shopping center parking. You always get a space.“
