Cafe 906 is a charming small cafe a bit off the beaten track, being located in Baldwin Park, rather than Winter Park where we are staying. It's well worth the trip, though. The calm and attractive atmosphere, authentic French breads and pastries, friendly staff, delicious sandwiches and soup keep us coming back again and again.

Atmosphere was the worst. I came to get a drink for my daughter after a run and my shirt was sweaty so I took it out. I someone told me to go buy a shirt outside of the and proceeded with racial comments about calling me a caveman and so forth. I the establishment did not say anything to the guy and let it happen. I supporting him was not the right thing to do and even serve him and give him a chair. He I'm sorry but u guys and him supported racial comments next time kick him out or correct him. He terrible time for my daughter to see this.

Amazing authentic French crêpes and pastries. The Americano was delicious and I was really impressed by how savory my crêpe was and by the generous portion. All of the pastries are made in house by the owner, who is actually French. The atmosphere is lovely and the café is extremely clean.

I recently ordered a Foret Blanche for my birthday from Cafe906, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The cake was exquisitely balanced—not too sweet and not too heavy—demonstrating a high level of professionalism and care in its preparation. It was evident that the dessert was crafted with both delicacy and affection. I highly recommend Cafe906 for anyone in search of a remarkable birthday cake. The owner, Laeticia, is exceptionally personable and has a talent for making clients feel at ease. If you are looking for a high-quality birthday cake, I encourage you to visit Cafe906 and explore their diverse offerings.

Edit April 2024: ownership has changed hands & while some things are still ok there have been noticeable changes to quality & preparation. I started to notice the crepe no longer seemed cooked or golden brown, ordered again today thinking it was a one off & not the case; pale, sad crepe lacking the flavor it used to. I did try to reach out but they claim the kitchen says they made the crepe as they always have, I encourage reviewing the photo of what I was served today against other crepes - filling aside the consistency & color of the crepe should be the same as it was previously. The hash brown madame & omelette also don’t seem the same to us. I noticed the owner replied saying all was the same but again I encourage comparing photos of the crepe I was served recently to others, recipe may be the same but the preparation / method is different & seems that way with a couple other dishes as well.
Authentic French cafe in Baldwin Park, simple lunch/bakery menu that has something for everyone IMO. The owner and staff are very kind & engaging.
Great welcome, great dish, nothing to say.
And what’s more, the lemon tart is super good!

Long overdue review. I was a neighbor and would come buy breakfast religiously at this french cafe every Friday. Each time spending roughly 20$, sometimes more. For 9 months that’s give or take $2k.
The last time I went there they forgot to give me my dessert on two consecutive occasions. Each time I had to return to tell them the mistake. The first time they gave me the item. The second time they were about to give me the item when one of the girls suddenly started to whisper to call the owner.
The owner came to me, very aggressively and told me they would give me the item ‘this one time but not again’. I then told her ‘I don’t want the item’ and she insisted. This entire back and forth happened in front of other customers and her staff; I was literally shaking from the anxiety I was feeling in a highly stressful interaction where she blatantly suggested I’m lying. When I told her in french how she was making me feel she proceeded to say ‘she wasn’t aggressive, just french and it’s how they talk’. I’ve worked with French people and can differentiate between ‘being french’ and ‘being aggressive’.
Needless to say this whole conversation went on for longer than needed and as someone who was supporting local businesses I was shocked.
The embarrassment she put me through in front of her entire staff who stood there watching and other customers was completely unacceptable. I told her instead of taking the feedback and working with her staff to ensure oversights don’t happen she proceeded to say ‘her girls NEVER make mistakes’. French or not french, you don’t insinuate your frequent customers are stealing from you. As much as the food, coffee, and most of the staff are friendly, I never stepped foot in there after that abysmal customer experience from the actual owner.
It was good to see recent reviews where she has acknowledged that they made a mistake on someone else’s order. I guess they do make mistakes and she’s finally able to accept they do.

If you're looking for a snack to bite go to Tu Tu Cafe or Baldwin Perk instead. Don't come here unless you support owners who disrespect their employees. The management's unethical behavior is alarming. They consistently make decisions that prioritize cost-cutting measures over ethical considerations. They will charge you extra for the littlest alternations just to make an extra dollar, whereas this isn't the case for other cafes. Employees don't have a say when it comes to any rules or regulations. Instead, for feeling a different opinion from them you are penalized and screamed at. They will belittle you and make you feel small. They will fire you on the spot publicly or right after you put your 2 weeks in just so they don't have to pay you. That's the people who run this place. They only care about reviews and the money. Hence, the reason they fake reviews and make their employees write them (just some shown down below from their daughter & other coworkers as I know BOTH of them). So I would think twice before coming to this place, know where is worth spending your money because I promise you that you aren't missing anything here.Ultimately these aren’t allegations if they are true hence is why the “allegations” weren’t addressed. Rather than trying to paint someone as a “bad worker”. Just owners trying to play victim for their actions and the treatment towards their workers as justifiable. Not just me but other workers as well. Thank you.

I frequently visit Cafe906 for their delightful $5 baguette, which I find to be worth every penny. Apart from the baguette, I've indulged in their crepes, sandwiches, croissants, and more. Each meal feels meticulously prepared with a touch of care and love, resulting in delightful tastes that keep me coming back. I especially recommend their cappuccino.
