It was ok, but I was looking for more taste. I wanted them to be superb for my money. I received lots of big bones in my Turkey & Sauce. I really didn’t like that they’d charge $15-20 bucks and no meat.

All I can say is that if you love Haitian cuisine, great music, and excellent service, then look no further. This restaurant was delicious. Literally I could have gobbled up everything that we had, and the next table overs. It's hard to get good Haitian food unless you are at home. But when away, this is the perfect reminder. I went with my sister in law and she, who is actually Haitian, also loved the food. I am not easily impressed and I was not let down on anything. We got the Akra, lalo, Legume, and Griot. We wanted to try everything !! I had zero complaints and will be back again. Go try this place out, it was simply delicious. Oh, and they have Kompa on Thursdays. I believe that is subject to change bc of Covid, but just call and ask!!

This trip took me to Orlando and I found this place called Cafe Kreol. They serve authentic Hantian food. Food is great and the service could improve. However, this is my third time eating at this restaurant and I am not Disappointed. I did not write a review the first nor the second time this third time is a charm! For a great experience with Haitian food your trip should take you here.

This place was recommended by my family and I must say that I was impressed with the atmosphere, decor and the selection of Kompa music that was playing. Only downside was the the taste of the food: 1) I ordered griot complete and the griot was NOT fried long enough (you can taste it the difference) 2) The fried plantain was pre-boiled. Definitely not a typical way of doing it. The taste wasn't absolutely horrible but I expected so much more, especially for such a reputable restuarant that I had to drive 30 mins to get to. Definitely needs more work........

I'm a black girl born & raised in Alabama.... raised on soul food.... hearty, slow-cooked, REAL FOOD. My fiancé is Haitian to the core. We visited Orlando recently (1 wk only) and we ate at this restaurant 3 times!!! It was good. I was first introduced to Haitian food when I moved to Maryland, met my fiancé, and went to a few family gatherings with him and this restaurant offers the real deal. The pikliz is so good! The right heat level and the perfect flavor balance. You can tell it's marinated for a while (spicy, vinegar based slaw). The Griot was good, well seasoned and not over- fried (deep fried pork). My fiancé had some type of stew with seafood and veggies in it, I don't remember what it's called but it was flavorful and delicious (not to mention spicy, I like spice!!!). My picky 7 year old even loved the food here. The food is good!! And the price is even better, we brought dinner and had enough left over for breakfast (yes, I eat anything for breakfast) and lunch. We also had fried plantain (good), rice of course (perfectly cooked and flavorful), and chicken (fried, not battered, and dry 🙁). All in all I'd recommend u check the restaurant out if you are in the area. (You don't get friendly service but the service isn't bad......just not.... friendly *remember I'm from Alabama so I'm used to service with a smile). Bottom line, the place gets an A from Me.

My family of four wanted some hatien good so we left out Universal Resort and found this restaurant. The food was delicious, portion was more enough. We ordered akra for appetizer and legume with diri djon djon and chicken in sauce with diri blanc. The price is very reasonable compared to the pricey foods in the tourist area... that is not even edible. There was no problem with service the food was served quickly, if I'm in the area I would definitely return.

I ate at this restaurant with some friends from work during a stay in Orlando for a conference, and we absolutely LOVED the food! We had baked turkey, fried turkey, and goat stew, which were served with rice and fried plantains. We all sampled from one another's plates, and I couldn't even pick whose was the best, because they were all amazingly delicious! It's not in a touristy part of town (in fact our Uber driver who picked us up on our return trip to the hotel thought we were lost- haha), but it is well worth the trip! I wish we had this restaurant here in Indiana so I could eat there all the time!

I went there for the first time and I was satisfied at first. I sat in to eat. The waitress was helpful, food was good. Then I went back for take out later that week. That waitress had an attitude. Like she hated to be there. She was bothered. I got my food and left. Went back yesterday for take out. Asked her for a menu. Again, her attitude stunk. Everything I wanted, they didn't have available. Finally settled down for chicken. She took my order and everything. After maybe 15 minutes waiting, someone comes from the kitchen to tell me "sorry, the person who took the order made a mistake. There's no more chicken." She didn't even bother to tell me anything. She came out, stared at me and kept it moving. The girl from the kitchen was the one to say "sorry about that". Bottom line, the venue is nice, the food is good, the potential is there but as usual in most Haitian businesses, the service sucks!

Really good Haitian food. The service was good but the food is excellent. Really authentic Haitian cuisine. Location is hard to find if you are not from Orlando but well worth the the trip.

Benny at our hotel recommended it and it was very good. Fast and authentic. The ox tails were really good.

For those who don't know, Orlando has no shortage of Haitian restaurants. But every restaurant offers a different atmosphere, if you want hot, fresh, authentic Haitian cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere then Cafe Kreol hits the spot! Ok so let me break it down. The space is cozy but i went with a party of 6 and they happily accommodated us. The food is beyond delicious and everything is made fresh to order. So be prepared to wait a while. Thats actually why i didn't give them a five star. When we went, our appetizers didnt come out until after we were almost done with our entrees, but it was totally worth the wait. Besides time is the price im willing to pay for fresh! The menu is in Creole with english sub text. Not all the waitresses speak great english but they will communicate patiently so pointing to the menu helps. Or you can go with someone who speaks creole. Heads up for familys there is no kids menu so chicken nuggets and fries will not be an option here. But the fried turkey with rice and beans was a delight for my little cousin. We ordered 5 entrees 2 appetizers and everyone had drinks and our bill was just over $100-crazy affordable. This is the restaurant my husband and I choose when we want out of town guests to experience the Haitian vibe!! Music is incredible as well. Get ready for good eats great music and fun!!

If you are familiar with Haitian food, you'll feel right at home. If you're not, it's high time you tried it! And this is the place to get acquainted with it. The service is friendly if a bit befuddled. You have to be patient but trust me, it's more than worth it. The food is well presented, served hot, plentiful and excellent. They bring you water right away and a small salad with italian and ranch dressings. Period! No fuss. The salad is far from the main event though. The menu is not extensive but it is more than enough. All the main things are there: Griot (fried pork), legumes (veggies stew usually with big chunks of beef), lambi (conch), tassot (fried meat of beef or goat) and chicken, turkey or goat in creole sauce just to name a few. The rices are usually white rice with the bean sauce of the day, rice and beans, or rice with djondjon (black mushroom). The choice is yours. You can mix and match to your heart's content. It's all good! We were 8, everyone took something different, we all tasted each others dishes and everything was excellent. No complaint whatsoever! We all ate more than we should and in spite of that we all manage to leave the place with a nice full takeout box. They don't skimp on portions for sure! They sometimes have live music on weekends and the place might get loud but it's a party. And if you go before 10pm, chances are the party won't have started yet. We do things right but late in the islands! So do yourself a favor: go give it a try. You'll thank me later!
