When you order a steak, they offer you chimichurri sauce and then charge you 0.99 for a small amount of sauce, without mentioning that it's extra. Prices are expensive compared to the amount of food served. The food quality is decent, but not extraordinary.

Its actually a good name for a resturaunt. Gotcha. Oh they got me alright I didnt want chinese food at the mall, I went in thinking its a bbq resturaunt. Dont be fooled its just the usual bland mall chinese food. Its not good.

I got a hair on my plate, I told the cashier very discreetly and they were incapable of apologizing or having any kind of empathy, on the contrary; They seemed to be bothered by the fact that my food was served again, not to mention that they only changed the plate; They didn't check the rest of the buffet leg at all; terrible customer service. No one there wore hairnets.

Good Barbeque restaurant in the Florida Mall. The Florida Mall has 6 anchor stores, 250 stores and over 1.7 million square feet of space. This makes it one of the largest malls in Florida. It is a very nice mall and seems in my opinion large, clean and upscale compared to most in the area. The Mall has an entire dining pavilion near the center of the stores on the north side of the structure. There are 25 restaurants around a central eating area. The restaurant at the mall entrance part of the dining pavilion is a Barbeque restaurant called Gotcha Smokehouse BBQ. It sports a small entrance with a counter facing the mall and a few seats to the right hand side as you enter the establishment. The staff was very friendly and offered samples as I entered. I sampled the chicken and the beef and decided to order the chicken with my two sides being rice and beans. The chicken and rice was very good. The beans and corn bread were not to my liking. The price was reasonable for the amount of food that I received. Overall, it was a good meal at a good price that I would recommend for people looking for good barbecue in the area.

Portions are small for the price. Rice taste like it is 10min bag of something cheap. Chicken is inconsistent with some of being good and some being overly sweet. 1 bottle of Roxanne water cost $2.50 which is ridiculous. If you use a card to pay they will charge you an extra fee. I personally don't recommend this place when there are better options.

The name Gotcha Smokehouse makes perfect sense. You think it's a smokehouse, it looks like a smokehouse on the outside, then Gotcha! It is really a discount panda express on the inside. Cheap Chinese food.

Food was pretty good, but for the price it was very small portions. You can go to the stand next door and get a bigger serving of the same food for the same price.
The BBQ chicken is very good and the employees were very nice. But the sides (fried rice and noodles) are terrible. No flavor and bad taste. Dousing it in sauce is needed to make it enjoyable

Like others, grabbed in by the samples...tried the other samples in the other restaurants next store and we didn't like them as much. So, we came back to order at Gotcha. We ordered a steak combo and a BBQ chicken combo plate. The meats were just as good as the samples and all of the side items were great as well
Yum yum yum! I walked through the whole food court to take a sample of all that were available. Out of the three bourbon chickens this one was the best. Fast service and they also speak Español:)
Love this place! For those unaware, it is quite common for mall eateries, especially Asian, to offer free samples. They are competing with eachother and want to interest you in their food. My gf and I went around and tried the other places offering a similar bourbon/bbq chicken and we decided this was our favorite, so we came back to order. I'm not sure why other reviews have problems with free samples or feel they received a different quality sample than what they were given, but this is the only place in the food court that chops the chicken to order and I saw them chop it for the sample tray.. everything came from the same area. I received what I ordered, was very happy with the quality and was charged the correct amount. I've been back twice now and it's been a similar staff each time, all friendly and willing to answer any questions the best they can.
