Great hidden gem in Avalon Park. Fun, island inspired interior that was super clean. Cashier was friendly, and owner came out to check on the food experience. One of us had the jerk chicken, the meat was falling off the bone on first cut. Spice level was right on the money, a little sweet which was unexpected, but good. Fried plantains off the charts good, second only to the collard greens, which my husband said was the best he's ever had. Island ribs were juicy and the sauce...

The restaurant itself has a lovely fast-casual ambiance, and I loved the articles and awards displayed on the wall.

The service left much to be desired. The young lady at the front couldn’t offer any recommendations, lacked warmth, and had a flat demeanor.

As for the food, the oxtail ($27) was disappointing. While I tried not to compare it to traditional Jamaican oxtail, it lacked flavor, was undercooked, tough to chew, and came without...
