A horrible experience with an ice cream shop.

I went in there once and four of the machines didn't work and when they did, the ice cream came out as a straight up melted mess. There wasn't any difference between what I got and if I just poured some hot water on top of the container. That's all it was - just hot water. So I thought I'd come back for a second visit because maybe something changed. But, it was even worse. More machines weren't working than before and the rest of the ice cream I ordered was still super runny and completely unfrozen.

It appears that the main problem here is the way they are being managed. How do businesses that sell nothing other than ice cream continue to have their equipment break down or their ice cream not freeze? Their manager/owner seems to be either unwilling or unable to establish minimum standards for their operation which is apparent through every part of it.

They're running this place into the ground. They're wasting your money and your time. If you can't serve people ice cream that's been frozen then you probably should find another line of business.

I usually visit Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt once a month with my daughters, and this time it was a very disappointing experience.

One of the main reasons we go is for the Nutella topping — it’s something really important to us. However, the dispenser had an extremely narrow nozzle, to the point that no matter how hard you squeezed, the Nutella would barely come out.

I spent way too much time trying to get some, squeezing over and over again, to the point that my arm actually started to hurt… and still almost nothing came out. It was honestly frustrating and completely ruined the experience.

It doesn’t make sense to offer a topping if customers can’t properly serve it. It felt uncomfortable, annoying, and almost like the amount was being intentionally limited.

What’s most disappointing is that this is usually a special moment I share with my daughters, and this time we couldn’t enjoy it the way we always do.

I really hope this gets fixed soon, because it may seem like a small detail, but it makes a big difference in the overall experience.

Not sure what was a worse greeting…the smell of dirty mop water or the deadpan stare from the person from behind the counter who looked up from her phone just long enough to see me and my wife before going right back to texting. We asked if a flavor was gluten free and the girl just looked at us and said does it say gluten free? Im sorry our question was so inconvenient for her. But based on the over flowing trash can and the horrendous smell, it was probably a good idea that we just turned around and left.

Absolutely terrible. The first time I came here, four machines were broken and the ice cream came out as straight liquid. Not soft serve. Melted soup. I gave this place a second chance and nothing had changed. More machines were down and the ice cream was still runny and not frozen at all.

If you cannot keep your machines working or serve frozen ice cream, you should not be selling ice cream. Complete waste of money and time. Never coming back.

Jalena was wonderful, kind and a true asset to this Menchies location! She was cleaning and refilling the candies as soon as the customer before us left. Kudos for keeping the place on point and I hope the other staff members take note. Will definitely be back! 👏

Ideally, I would rate this ¼ star. I am extremely disappointed with this brand and this location. The quality of the cake was poor and clearly inferior. The cake appeared to have been melted and then refrozen, causing a glass-like layer on the bottom. When cut, you could visibly see the cake disintegrating inside.
When I called to inform them of the issue, the employee I spoke with was rude and disrespectful. She claimed that I cursed at her and then hung up on me.
I am displeased, disappointed, and disgusted with Menchie’s. This was the only option in Lake Nona for a long time, and I was once a huge fan of this location. After spending $30.00 on a cake that ultimately went into the trash, this location failed in every aspect of customer service and quality.

Rude rude rude rude!!! We asked for a simple sample cup and she decided to be rude. We went out waiting with our friend who was in the bathroom and a guy came out saying we are bothering them and we are disrupting their customer. We are waiting outside... they can mench each other away!!!

***Additional info: She was not positive and friendly. We went outside and did not bother anyone. We are not even doing anything just standing outside until someone tried to kick us out by just standing. There is a way of telling us or customer properly about the policy, no need to be rude to anyone. The point here is, she was never positive with her response. We didnt even argued and left. But then again we were chased away. Disgusting attitude!

Menchie’s is always a great experience! The store is clean, fun, and has a great variety of flavors and toppings. What really makes it stand out, though, is the staff. There’s a girl with curly hair who always has such a great attitude!! She’s incredibly welcoming, a total sweetheart, and genuinely cares about customers. She’s always paying attention and checking to make sure everything is okay, which really makes you feel valued. Customer service like that makes me want to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

This location has really gone downhill. We gave it one last chance, but the place is consistently dirty. The bathrooms were a mess, several machines were broken, and the toppings bar was missing many items. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and dismissive.

It’s clear that ownership and management are not taking steps to improve the business. This location is not worth another visit until significant improvements are made.
