I've been going to Stonington for years. The food used to be amazing. However, since 2024, I began to notice a huge difference: the shrimp is greasy, chewy and less plump, the batter is tasteless, the Mac and cheese is a white soft tasteless non crumble texture, and the cornbread is course, smaller, and less buttery. I try to support what is a local gem but please return the soul.

Was there today at 11am (mistakenly thought it was open). Waited outside with 5 other people.Was the 3rd to order. 5 others ordered after me in the 12 minutes I was inside.Good service. Friendly staff.The shrimp was fresh and good. The Cole slaw was fresh and good.The sauce was great!Sweet tea was the right amount

If you're looking for an excellent fried shrimp meal at a good price, you absolutely need to check out Stonington's. The shrimp as well as the sides were all great (especially the corn bread). The service was quick and pleasant too.

It was ok..was recommended to come here, and it was overhyped..all the food tasted like basically fried in the same batter.. chef Ramsey would have had a field day herethe shrimp is good but no real variety in how it's fried, just one style... breaded... may be a good idea to have fried shrimp also not breaded or spicy, coconut, etc...even watch forest Gump to get shrimp ideas from bubba...The store only has 3 sauces..hot sauce, fish sauce and ketchup nothing really to better complement the dishes it seemsthe onion rings were actually the best part and worth it....Corn bread was buttery and ok..not all dry and rough to eat.6 cheese Mac and cheese was ok but no flavor nor distinction in the cheese..The bean and rice is basically a bean soupOverall was ok..not bad, not horrible..ok...The decor is okService was good ..food came our quickFood was just sub par
