We were in Florida for several days and I ended up here every day trying something for dinner. There were so many people that made our experience amazing but the person that made the experience extra special was Sanchez. Fantastic recommendations and the drink that he recommended was amazing. (Just ask for the Sanchez) Wonderful food (Diana at the ceviche bar) and atmosphere with the deck (even with the heat) was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

By the 3rd day at the resort in Orlando, we were tired of eating burgers, fries, pizza, ect... And didn't want to go wait at City Walk again for much of the same with an even bigger prize and poor service.
So we decided to try something new and made a reservation at The Strong Water Tavern in Lowe's Sapphire Falls Resort.
This place is our new favorite! Wait staff was amazing. Our waitress, HILLARY, was so kind and considerate. We never felt rushed or had to ask for refills. Atmosphere was kool and everything we got off the menu was delicious. We were very surprised. Mango Salmon Ceviche, Curry goat, Short Rib Huarache, Churro Bowl for dessert! So yummy! I was also very impressed with their Rum versions of an Old Fashioned and Long Island Iced tea. Very smooth and interesting flavors. We will be back!

I was hesitate visiting here because of the few bad reviews. I am so glad we went! The food was absolutely delicious. I suggest ordering a couple different options - you won’t be disappointed! We ordered a lot and loved it all. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. Try the ham & cheese roll up and the jerk chicken with coconut rice! Amazing. The server was very friendly and great! Everything came out fast. Wasn’t very busy. Highly recommend! We will be going back.

Food was amazing. The special they had that day was incredible, plantain filled with meat and cheese, pork belly tacos and empanadas were delicious too. Great ambiance, good drinks, the servers were exceptional, Sharon and Hilary were wonderful. Recommend to everyone!

Whenever I come to Universal I always stop in at Strong Water. They have some of the best food options on property. I just beg you to never get rid of the pork belly tacos and bring back the sliced ahi tuna dish with the melons and plaintain chips. That was my absolute favorite! The new tuna tartar is okay but bring back the old one, it was so good!
The ambiance is a lot of fun. It's a very nice bar and they do have live music on the weekends. It's a full service bar but they're known for their rum forward drinks.
The service is always great here. I've never had any issues. Christian is one of my favorite bartenders. He makes me the best drinks just knowing the spirits I like. He's very attentive, funny, and makes great recommendations.
Highly recommend this spot!

Lots of drink options, but the food ranks as that to avoid for half their menu. The surf and turf skewers had to be sent back. The tuna tartar was gross. The sliders and French fries were good along with the rice dish…. Can’t remember the name.

Do not go here with kids they will treat you like you are garbage. Sat there for an hour before we got one tapa while a table of all adults were getting three orders in a row when they ordered after us! Horrible place. And food portions even smaller than anticipated.

Strong Water Tavern bills itself as a Caribbean-inspired rum bar with a culinary flair—but for anyone with authentic Puerto Rican roots or a discerning palate, the experience quickly unravels into a disappointment.
The Camarones al Ajillo were a disaster. The so-called garlic sauce was a buttery, bland afterthought, completely missing the bold punch of garlic that defines the dish. With just four tiny shrimp on a plate masquerading as an entrée, it felt more like a bar snack than a main course—an overpriced one at that.
As for the Arroz con Pollo, calling it uninspired would be generous. The dish resembled a pile of microwaved rice haphazardly mixed with dry, flavorless chicken chunks. It bore no resemblance to the vibrant, soul-warming Puerto Rican classic it claimed to be.
Unless you're just here for the rum and ambiance—or too buzzed to notice you're eating something that tastes like it came from a hotel minibar microwave—skip the food. Strong Water might work as a bar, but as a restaurant, it's a culinary letdown and a cultural misrepresentation.

Good vibe but the food was so bland. Whoever in charge that sees this please tell the chefs to add seasoning. There's too many reviews of bland food for this restaurant. My surf and turf skewers had no salt whatsoever. The beef tasted like it went from being cut in a cube then thrown right in the grill. Same with the chicken tenders, it just tastes like flour. After spending $100 for 2 people, I wouldn't recommend eating here. I've had better meals at a hospital cafeteria. The drinks were good though.
