The Boathouse

Booked here for my 60th birthday dinner in October. Had to wait 20 mins to be seated, even although we had booked. Table was right next to the boat and felt we were squashed in, also had to ask for it to be levelled as it wasn't flat on floor. Service wasn't the best, had to ask for water even although ever although table had water placed on it. All our drinks were served at different times, waiter seemed to be rushed off his feet. Food was great so at least something was correct. Eventually paid using the qr code on the table, as the waiter was no-where to be seen and left the restaurant and not one member of staff even said thank you or goodbye as we left. I felt that we were surplus to their usual table and an inconvenience to them. Doubt I'll be back, totally spoilt my birthday celebrations.

I was told, by close friends, that The Boathouse Restaurant was really good. But let me tell you that was an understatement!! The food and atmosphere was phenomenal, but when it came to service, it was extraordinary, fantastic, amazing. I could go on and on! I went to celebrate my birthday and they made me feel so special. I also have a peanut allergy, and they were so thoughtful to make sure my food was prepared safely. I could go on and on with this Google review about the restaurant, however the review I want everyone to see is for our server Brynli!!! Her service was phenomenal and outstanding!! She was kind hearted, funny, but most importantly her service was incredible! Brynli, thank you for making my birthday so special and amazing. You definitely have two guests for life!! If you ever have the opportunity to go to the Boathouse Restaurant ask for Brynli!!!❤👏👏❤

It was an overall wonderful experience! Food was great and the staff really goes above and beyond to provide wonderful service. It was my first time visiting and it was simply great! Shout to Brynli for being so incredibly kind and friendly and creating such an inviting and fun experience!! Definitely check them out!!

My wife and I recently dined at this restaurant and had a positive experience. We started our meal with firecracker shrimp, which was fresh and had a pleasant level of spiciness. For the main course, we chose the grilled fish tacos; they were soft, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The service was another highlight, as the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit.

However, we did observe some areas for improvement, particularly concerning cleanliness. The dishes and silverware could be cleaner, as we noticed fingerprints and water spots on the glass cups right after being seated. Additionally, I found a hard food substance embedded in my knife.

Overall, despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our time there and would consider returning in the future.

John from Talahassee was the best server we’ve ever had… not exaggerating. Me and my girlfriend go out to eat so much and have never seen a server as personable as John. Definitely recommend this place, food was immaculate and service was A1! Get the chocolate cake, it’s amazing

Since the first time several years ago that I first ate at the Boat House it has been my altimeter favorite restaurant anywhere. Got to go there for lunch on August 29th of 2025. Was not disappointed at all. I ordered the crabcake and the waiter said it was his favorite and it woukd be the best I ever had and it did not disappoint. It was amazing. I told the waiter he was right. Have been to the Boat House several times and have eaten different things each time but this was my favorite of all the visits. Everyone in our group loved it. It will be on our list every time we come from now own. Service was great, loved the atmosphere and especially the food. Great experience.

​The seafood dishes were very good. We enjoyed the Hoison Chili Calamari, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and Coriander Seared Yellowfin Tuna. The Maine Lobster Tail Oscar was a standout.
​However, our experience with the steaks was incredibly disappointing. We ordered the Filet Mignon and the Ribeye, both requesting them medium-rare. The filet arrived with a thick, burnt crust that completely masked the flavor of the meat. The ribeye was even worse—it was well past well-done, tough, and completely dry. When we mentioned the issue, the server was kind enough to bring garlic butter, but it couldn't save the steaks.
​My advice? The kitchen clearly excels at seafood, so skip the steaks entirely. They should be removed from the menu until they can be prepared properly.

It was our 25th Anniversary. We were so excited to have dinner here. The food (fillet sliders, grilled asparagus and truffles fries) were amazing. We got the limited time white cake with white chocolate ganache. So, so good. What made our experience top notch was our waitress Victoria. She was super upbeat, knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

My daughters and a friend dined at The Boathouse for lunch today. First, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Two of our group ordered cocktails. They were delicious and creative. Our server, Marissa, was amazing. I was eyeballing the ceviche but can’t do anything remotely spicy. After explaining my sissy tastebuds to her, she went back to the kitchen and they altered the dish to remove the chili oil and the spicy mango salsa, but kept it incredibly fresh and flavorful. My daughters got the grouper sandwich and lobster roll and were generous enough to share bites of each with me. Everything was delicious! We saved a tiny bit of room for dessert, figuring that cake for two would be a perfect sweet treat for the four of us to share. They delivered the most enormous “slice”- a quarter of a cake fully 12” tall, that we shared and brought enough home for each of us to have a generous portion left over. The hot cloths with lemon to cleanse our hands were a decadent end to an already amazing experience. I can’t wait to visit again!

Food was excellent as always and Ciaran did an amazing job. Honestly Luis did a great job bussing tables as it was obvious he cares as well. FOOD is EXCELLENT.
