Always a nice experience at Takeya's. They cook my meal in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination on the big grill which I absolutely appreciate. We will be back.

Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating and will do what they can to ensure your safety and enjoyment of their food options.

Went there last night for a birthday dinner. We don't usually like to come in when a restaurant is closing down but everyone there was super nice and accommodating. We were treated very well.

Just picked this place from a random search and was very happy. Not a long wait. Great waiter and cook. Food was fantastic. Definitely saved it for future visits.

The service is poor they never wanna give you sauce no matter how much food you order I just spent 22 ordering fried rice to go and the manager refuses to give me more than one sauce. He also acted like he couldn’t put vegetables in my rice this place has really deteriorated and gone cheap they barely fill the box up and seriously expect me to only need one sauce or pay $2 I won’t be back after years of coming you got me fd up

*Sauce is not a courtesy when I used to come for years and get white sauce and ginger and more than one and not for extra charge it’s being cheap and rude to customers that have kept this place open for years even when they skempy to you it’s ok you lost a loyal customer AND THE RICE SUPPOSED TO HAVE EDAMAME AND CORN AND ALL THE STUFF IT ALWAYS HAS NOT JUST RICE this place has gone down hill in service quality and I blame the manager that man up front ruining everyone experience

I think this place is ok but I prefer Kobe... it's more vegetarian friendly. Here you get, and pay for, shrimp whether you want them or not. Good for some! There isn't a hibachi entree with tofu and you only get rice, not rice and noodles. I am probably the oddball on these things but they matter to me! I also love ginger dressing usually but I don't like the ginger dressing here. I've been here five or six times and can rate experience the same across the board. Others in my party do enjoy the food.

By the way, a side of mushrooms is $12.

Service is usually excellent! The atmosphere is less chaotic than other Japanese restaurants. I just wish I enjoyed the actual food better.

We came here on a recommendation. Best decision ever! I really like hibachi dinners, but I have to say that the flavor of EVERYTHING was on a level above anything I have ever had at any of the hibachi restaurants I have ever visited. The service was great (thanks Dalton!), and the chef perfectly flavored our diners. This place is about an hour from home, but we will be adding this into our rotation. It’s well worth the drive!
