We had high hopes for Waxins- looked really cute and the menu looked interesting. We drive 40 minutes to go there for a birthday celebration, which was noted in the open table res. When we got there it was a little cold and we asked to sit inside and they said no since they had a private party booked - only in one section but closed off for everyone. So we ate outside (chilly, no heat lamps) and the food was good, creative menu and the service punctual. The staff was clearly catering...
Ridiculous great food. Sat outside and had a perfect evening. Service was top notch and then some. Food was super good and cooked perfectly. Ordered salmon medium rare and it came out exactly as I had hoped it would. Most all places don't pay attention with salmon and cook it like leather. Love, love, love this place.
one of my favorite. like sitting outside, weather permitting. they make a good gin and tonic. the ceasar salid with poached salmon is the best. the staff always friendly and accomodating.
