Found them last month and been there 4 times already!!!! Although, we have to travel an hour to get to them, it is unbelievably worth it . “Whatever the time of day, you can go to old Dixie and find something great to eat. Recent updates really improved the atmosphere, and it’s clean and the staff is friendly and fast. You’d like to do takeout? Usually ready within 15 to 20 minutes, and well packaged. We picked up the chicken français the other night and it was so so good. You also get a side of salad and rolls and everything you need if you want to go to the beach with it or take it home. Great place.👍😊“

“We came right when it opened for the amazing happy hour! Food was DELICIOUS! I had the steak, clam chowder, and Apple crisp dessert (which was a happy hour special). Everything is homemade and fresh. The service was perfect and personable and the owner came to say hi to us and made us feel at home. “Food was good. The portions are quite large. Omlet was easily shareable for two. We had a slight service issue where our order went missing, but this was easily and pleasantly resolved. Watching other folks get their orders would indicate our experience was rare (and not that big of a deal). Weather was hot with no wind, so the tables were toasty!“

“This is a restaurant with five star quality food hidden inside a humble and simple layout. I was blown away by how high quality and consistent the food is, to the point where each dish would get a thumbs up from Gordon Ramsay, without exaggeration; indeed, it is genuinely as if they have a Brazilian Gordon Ramsay hiding in their kitchen quickly putting out five star food without any effort. Their yucca with beef is incredible, especially with a few drops of the complimentary hot sauce they have on their tables. Their bacon and sausage is the best I have ever tasted at any restaurant, and their bacon, having ordered it more than once, always comes out perfect every time. The eggs that my older daughter ordered were cooked perfectly. These things are not easy to do, and exceedingly rare to find! Their dulce de leche donut that my younger daughter ordered was made perfectly, I'm usually not a fan of dulce de leche but I was amazed how much I liked it when I had a taste of it, the pastry was so soft and delicious, and the filling was good too! I have never seen anything like this, at any restaurant of any type anywhere, to be this skilled and consistent with their breakfast foods. I also have to mention Esfania, who works there and took our order the first time my daughters and I ate there. She is kind, informative, helpful, positive, charming, beautiful, and helped educate us about the dishes there, even offering my daughters some samples without us even asking for them, in order to help us order what we would enjoy. Her customer service was a five star experience for us, and she is a credit to the establishment and deserves a raise; she is a true goddess. This location, if people knew how good the food was, would have a line out the door every day, and they really do deserve it. Five stars.“

“I never write reviews But this definitely deserves one. Ate here for breakfast on Sunday delicious eggs Benedict came back on Wednesday and had a delicious Reuben sandwich with a Caesar salad. Prices are reasonable food comes out hot like it should. I think the staff was wonderful attentive. Place is very clean…. Definitely worth going.“

“Awesome ricotta pancakes! The roast beef sandwich was so tasty. We also ordered the salmon eggs Benedict. They were delicious. Be forewarned, if you use artificial sweetener, they only have Stevia. Which, in my opinion, is awful. I had to skip my much needed morning coffee. Try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“I have been eating here off and on for 20+ years. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal. Their specials are usually fun and unique and delicious. Their standard menu items are wonderful. I describe it to folks as “a ‘greasy spoon’ diner done perfectly.”“

“I had the Asiago bagel w / chicken, avocado & BLT. It came with 2 orders. It was a cold sandwich but delicious. I went back to counter and ask If it could be warmed up? She wasn't able due to sanitary reason. As I was eating it, trying to hold it all together, I was approached by an employee. She had given me a new sandwich heated up. That was the sweetest thing anyone has done for me. I was so appreciated and overwhelmed.“
