Doris Italian Market & Bakery

I understand that cakes choices and likes maybe very subjective, but I decided to give their Tiramisu a try and was disappointed 😞 than asked about Rum cake asking bunch of questions before buying it and sadly that one was also disappointing. I would think Italian bakery would be better quality. Also to not those tasteless cakes are overpriced in my opinion based on my experience

Great place for Italian
goods however the bakery can be a hit or miss.

I love this Italian Market!

Love their fried eggplant and the fact that they carry My-Tee-Fine chocolate pudding.

For you NY re-roots, this place is as close to a Brooklyn salumeria as I’ve seen in Broward

As a market, I love it great deli and market, good meat and seafood departments. Not impressed at all with the bakery, but the great people that work there make up for it.

Specialty market for butcher's meats, pre-made entres, pre-made salads, excellent bakery, and fresh vegetables. Can be pricey if you aren't shopping their specials. Great for catering, upcoming bbq or special lunch or dinner at home. You will be making this market a go-to place for future occasions!

Disappointed to say the least. I went to the sunrise location and had the best experience, and the quality of the black and white cookies was absolutely exceptional. However, my trip to this location wasn't the same. The black and white cookies taste nothing like the sunrise location. This location has the white part of the black and white cookies tasting like lemon and the frosting on both sides was spread so thinly. The bottom spongey portion of the cookie was freakishly big as well. Super disappointed 😞. The taste is completely off as well. I bought 4 cookies only to be disappointed. I expected so much more and coming from Homestead is alot closer than going to sunrise. I should have sacrificed time and distance for quality

The bakery used to be very nice back in the day. The cakes were one of my favorites to order and enjoy. I returned to buy two different cakes (Black Forest cake and Nutella cake) for Christmas. Both were extremely dry to the point that it literally crumbled when you tried to cut the cake. Not a single family member finished their slice of cake. We took one bite, and threw both cakes away. It was an embarrassment to bring these stale cakes to a family celebration. I will never buy another cake from Doris ever again. Do yourself a favor, and buy a cake from Publix. At least it will be fresh, and doesn't feel like you are eating sawdust.
