El Tiesto Cafe Pines

I use to love coming here.
I came in today for the 2for1 sushi and the service was horrible. One waitress was in her phone and the other was more interested in flirting than giving good service.
The taste of the food has also changed. I ordered the Mac cabron that has Mac and cheese and it was way too salty, the sauce was not creamy and the pasta was not as soft as it use to be.
It’s such a shame to see this change. This was one of my favorite places and I would constantly recommend it you can bet I won’t be doing that any more.

My friends and I chose this restaurant because the TikTok advertising made it look like it had a great menu and atmosphere. Please don’t let the appearance fool you. The attitude toward customer satisfaction and service was the worst I have ever experienced.

The service was terrible. The young lady serving us seemed fully aware of how poor her attention to detail was, yet made no effort to improve. All of the food was overcooked and burnt. The burger was dry and black like charcoal, and my pork was so hard it was almost impossible to eat.

As disappointing as the food was, the lack of service was even worse. The manager never came to the table to address the fact that we returned two out of the five meals we ordered. Her attitude was basically, “Oh well, there’s nothing I can do.” There were no apologies—just, “I’m sorry, I don’t speak English,” and that was the end of it.

Overall, an extremely disappointing experience in both food and service. I will not be returning.

Worst restaurant in pines blvd. I would not recommend El tiesto cafe pines to anyone. The burger patty was burnt like charcoal and the cocktail was horrible. The worst experience was that manager Bernice wouldn’t compensate for it and said there is nothing she could do. Also she didn’t even apologize to us. That place deserves a zero star.

My friend come to town from Turks a group of us went out for dinner the service was terrible when I walked in no greeted us we sat down no waiter offered us anything. My friend ordered octopus it was tough we also ordered a burger it was burnt the pork was so bad my friend nearly broke a tooth. I will not come to this place ever and I do not recommend it to anyone.

It’s nice to have a place where you can order Dominican style sushi! The idea and the presentation online looks good! In the flip side, I keep having the same problem with all of these restaurants (small places, typical easy to prepare food, quick to order, help one day you don’t haven’t prepared dinner, etc) Mofongo is a easy thing to prepare and the main ingredient is PLÁTANO, plantain with 3 or 4 shrimp or another other small amount of meat on top! How in the world you charge 22 dollars and the portion is so small? Restaurants have to be smart! Use this opportunity to serve the food people are not going to eat! Don’t do it like it’s an upscale Italian restaurant! I have been in DR and anytime you order mofongo you have mofongo to explote and take some home! Maybe if you are dining in and you order some sushi, plus mofongo then it’s ok but still the price is too high!

This is a very small restaurant. Menu selection is limited. Most sushi has cream cheese filling. They do not have a way to check you in after you have made a reservation. Therefore, you can't get your credit for your dining. This is a place for someone that want a drink or two. If you are going for the food this will not be the place to go.

Sushi had shrimp scale on it in every bite i took. Calamari portion was very small for $15 … literally 8 small pieces. The scenery & food presentation was nice and that was all….. 3.6/10
