I've been coming here for years and they have never disappointed. The only thing I do wish is that they would allow you to get chips and salsa to go, I don't always want to eat in and their chips and salsa are definitely a great start, they don't have a high turnover, and believe me I've been going there for over 20 years and a lot of the staff is original, everybody is super friendly and always attentive. I have known this part of town for basically my whole life and had never been here. Thankfully I went and was so impressed! The table chips and salsa were delicious- the salsa had great flavor! We also ordered mariquitas for the table and I loved the sauce it came with too! I ordered shrimp with rice and beans and plantains as my entree and loved it. However, my sister ordered the mofongo and it was the best of all the food we had! Highly recommend!

03/17/24 We went for late lunch at Don Pepe's restaurant and oh boy I'm so glad we did, the food was delicious, and the right size portions. Ms. Kelly, our server, was very attentive, courteous, and kind; it was a terrific experience, and the next time we will bring all our family to have a great time. Thank you for such a nice weekend experience.
