Uncover Fort Lauderdale's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“ALL ABOUT THE FOOD. I recommend this authentic Mexican Restaurant. Excellent, fresh everything. Definitely not your typical fare although they have enough to make you feel at home. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The owners are lovely. A simple place, nothing fancy. Go for the quality of the food and the warmth of the owners. Definitely try the Spicy Margarita.“
“Amazing Latin/Mexican food! We started w the guac which is fresh made at the table. Then we had some entrees and a couple drinks. The jalapeño margarita and blackberry mojito were delicious. Every single entry was fantastic as we couldn’t decide which one was best. We had the: churasco, carne asada, pollo chuco and seafood tower. Would recommend them all. Our server Juan was fantastic and can’t say enough about how great he was.“
“Steven was the most amazing. His recommendations were perfect. I ordered the mahi grilled tacos and a pineapple coconut cocktail. Both were the best I’ve ever had and next time I’m in Ft. Lauderdale I will be back! Couldn’t be more pleased with the Steven’s hospitality, recommendations and the chefs in the kitchen! Great place , don’t miss out be sure to make this a place you try.“
“Went back to try an old favorite from many years ago and was happy we did! Food was great and the Tuna dip was just like I remembered. Grey our server/bartender was awesome and made the best Margaritas too! Love how they opened up the bar area too so you can be outside or inside now enjoying the openess. We will be back!“
“Was looking forward to the Ceviche I had on our first night on vacation. I came back to have the Ceviche again a few days later since I loved it so much and the Ceviche was completely different. All shrimp…. Did not even taste like Ceviche. Was sooo disappointed. I wish they would have told us before we ordered or I would have gotten something else instead. Let your customers know if the menu changes. I walked through high winds and rain to come back to this restaurant before flying back home.“
“I found spot randomly driving around and it seemed like a cool place so I came in by myself. An extremely polite gentleman invited me to the bar and took my order. The service was fast and professional. I ordered 3 street tacos and I got beef, pork and chicken. I was blown away at how delicious this food was. Easily the best tacos I've ever had. I also really enjoyed the Quvo Named craft beer. I was surprised to learn that the gentleman and woman serving me were the owners! I'll definitely be returning.“
“Trendy Mexican restaurant with different menus for the bar or the table. Either menu you choose you won't go wrong. The tortas are very filling and tasty and the main dishes fresh and with the expected Mexican flavors. Very nice addition to our local cuisine! They also have live Mariachis at times!“
“We were traveling from Minnesota and stopped in for dinner around 7pm. We are taco snobs and hold high standards and this didn't disappoint! We tried the shrimp, fish, barbacoa, and carnitas tacos with Elote dip and LOVED the tres leches dessert and hibiscus cheesecake. Would highly recommend Barbacoa and Carnitas! Our server Stephanie P was amazing and the music and atmosphere was perfect! We will be back before our flight takes off again!Kid-friendliness: There were families and kids. Very kid friendly“
“Whenever I go to a place for the first time, I pay attention to the customer service and I think this was what I loved most about the place, excellent service, we tried the esquites and the cholao, I feel that theskites lack a A little bit, I tried them for the first time in Mexico and I loved them, but this does not mean that they were not delicious, in general everything was delicious and with a very pleasant atmosphere, the only observation I have to make is that they should appear on the menu the prices, the places where I have attended the menu has the price list.“
“Replaces another Mexican local with better price points, generous portions, good presentation, better margaritas—a little stronger yet remaining balanced, and attended constantly with abundant staff, and provided unlimited complimentary chips and salsa. Objectively, the chips could be crispier/fresher/warmer. Overall, all in our party of seven were very satisfied. 4.25 out of 5 stars.“
“First time at this place; the restaurant was clean, the food was outstanding, and the waiter (Brandon) was very attentive. Then again, there were only two or three other tables seated. Awkward ambiance for the first five+/- minutes because there was no music playing and the TVs were off. Finally, the music came on and the dining experience improved ten-fold. Meanwhile, the TVs were never turned on. Not a big deal, in fact... might even be cool to have a place with no TVs, where people are forced to interact with one another. But I digress, if you choose to have televisions in your establishment, keep them on; there's a lot you can do with them, not just have it on TV programming. Anyways, this place is absolutely fantastic and has the potential to be one of the area's best restaurants. I'll definitely be back!“
“My friends and I just had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Our waiter, Marlon, was extremely kind and gave great suggestions to us since we are from out of town. The quesadillas are fire and rlly hit the spot today. Will definitely be back!!“
“The Sunday Brunch is a great choice with friends or family. Yesterday we came for an early dinner for a change and we absolutely loved the food, the pomegranate Margarita and our waiter was amazing. The Seafood Chipotle Extravaganza is the ultimate foodie experience. I dare you to order it….“
“My wife & I had their vegetable fajitas, and they were great. As soon as we were seated, we were served chips and 3 kinds of salsa. I was particularly impressed with the hottest variety. We are from out of state and are jealous that locals have such a great mexican/Spanish restaurant.“
“I cannot express in words how wonderful and good this place is, the cordial and friendly attention of its staff is an extra point to the experience when visiting it, its food is very good, it has flavor, color and texture that are a boom in the Palate in particular, I liked the machaca burrito and my children liked the chicken quesadillas. In short, we will return, thank you zona fresco 17 th street!!!@????“
“If your a local, you know. If new to Broward or visiting for business or tourist go eat at Zona Fresca. Fresh Mexican street food, priced well and supported with a “World Class Salsa Bar”. Located next to a local landmark BC surf & sport this restaurant is family friendly and comfortable year round. Large portions, the best fish tacos and did I mention the “Salsa Bar”. Make some custom nachos while waiting for your order. Located north of Sunrise Blvd on west side of Federal highway Zona Fresca won’t disappoint . Tacos, burritos , taquitos, salads and more.. Look for the fresh ceviche, it sells quickly so get there early. Dine often, take home something for your friends & family. See you there. Muy Bueño !“
“03/17/24 We went for late lunch at Don Pepe's restaurant and oh boy I'm so glad we did, the food was delicious, and the right size portions. Ms. Kelly, our server, was very attentive, courteous, and kind; it was a terrific experience, and the next time we will bring all our family to have a great time. Thank you for such a nice weekend experience.“
“My Carnitas tacos were the best food I ate all week in Ft. Lauderdale. The salsas appetizer was 10/10. The blood orange margarita was one of the best drinks I've ever had. They said it would be a 45 minute wait but it ended up being like 15 and they sat us in the best seats, looking out over the ocean. The only place in Ft. Lauderdale I would like to revisit. 11/10 experience.“
“La Bamba is one of the highlighted Mexican restaurants in the area. Always busy, and they keep good quality food and service. Enjoy getting serviced by Rita tonight on (3/11/2024). She paid attention to the details of our orders.Parking: Parking is limited on premise, some people park at the bank parking lot.“
“It is a good place to eat, the waitress is very nice and provides excellent service, the food is excellent and at a very good price, I would like there to be music and the televisions were without audio, but overall it is a very good place to eat . I highly recommend it.“
“Such a nice place. We were visiting from out of town and my wife has a food allergy. The staff were so helpful, making sure my wife had a terrific meal without worry. Can't say enough about our server and the manager. Both went way out of their way for us. My meal was top notch and the margaritas are out of this world! And what a fun vibe!Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating about my wife's gluten allergy!“
“Taqueria El Paisa in Fort Lauderdale is the place to go for authentic Mexican cuisine! From tacos to burritos, their delicious dishes will leave you wanting more. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a great spot for lunch or dinner. Plus, their prices are unbeatable! Give it a try today and see why everyone is raving about El Paisa“
“The young lady at the register clearly did not understand English. 5 orders in a row were wrong . Cilantro sauce watered-down.....fish overcooked. One of my fish tacos came with the wrong shell a huge piece of avacado. The avocado was so big that the other ingredients disappeared. Used to be a destination for us.“
“I highly recommend the bae-watch tacos! It's 2 tacos per plate--the tacos are a really good size, and they're stuffed with ingredients, so it's worth it. And it comes with chips! Love the setup of this place and the amount of outdoor seating. I'm excited to try more things on the menu! My friend ordered the tostada, and it looked so good! I'm definitely trying that next time.“
“Wow! Amazing. Tony delivers great food and service. Seriously some of the best Honduran and Mexican food ever. All from scratch. Tony even delivered a complimentary cup of homemade soup to our table. Well done Tony! A must stop and repeat place!“
“Spread the word that there is a $300 reward for a Portland Leather cross body with the state ID inside. There's two wallets with various cards that I can identify if needed. Also some make up and hair accessories. Call Doubletree Hollywood Beach for details“
“Most authentic Mexican restaurant I have had in South Florida. Their food is so delicious and also decently priced. I’m originally from LA and it makes me feel like I’m back home. I’ve even bring friends & family visiting and they love it too.“
“Everything about this place exceeds expectations! Truly - the service, the food, the price. We have been four times over the past few years and have been delighted every time. The regular menu is excellent and every night there are different specials that are fantastic. The service is attentive, friendly and enjoyable. These are not part-time servers, it is family run by mature, wonderful folks who will tell it to you straight.Go here. It will make your day!“
“Came here for lunch. We sat in the outside area. The inside was too loud for our taste so we sat in the outside area which was great. Nice, cool with a little breeze and not loud at all. We had great meals. Both dishes we very flavorful and more than enough food. Our waitress Dannie was fenomenal, very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of the dishes.“
