This place is so clean I have never gone into a KFC Taco Bell out here and everyone and everything is dressed decently, ladies are dressed for work and not to party, young men pants pulled up, under the counter is shining clean and stacked neatly. I didn't see the rest room but the front of the house spoke for itself. The manager is a very nice young man you can tell he runs a tight shift he greets you with a smile. Best for takeout, but with a couple tables, enjoy the casual, lively cozy atmosphere with genuine family servers and cooks. The mom pours her heart into the food - you can taste the love! The al pastor and carnita tacos are bon appetite - I’m a petite size and I finished three whole tacos full of meat (they do not skimp!), rice, and delicious refried beans. The tortillas are crisp and soft. Just look at the photo!!!Come back again and again. They will not disappoint. Any other taco place is inferior. Get the HOT out of the oven churros! Our server, John, was top-notch. We started with a $6 margarita & a michelada, & the tamarind straw was a game-changer. The food was phenomenal - chips with salsa, pork tamale, chicharrones, & more. Punkys Tacos is an absolute vibe and the food is fire. 🔥 We are already planning what we are getting next time Our server Julie was great with suggestions of favorites especially since it was our first time. Queso dip and Chips - the addition of chorizo was a nice twist that jazzed this classic up Cheetodilla - I cant even put into words this quesadilla with a hot cheeto twist. My daughter ❤️ loved it Fish tacos - perfectly crunchy Mahi with Pink corn shells .. Pink !!!!! The atmosphere of the place was enjoyable with music 🎶 and table settings that gave it a homey feel. Juan our waiter zipped around from table to table and again even though he forgot some stuff he kept calm and always served with a smile. And to my surprise the staff spoke English. so as a non-spanish speaker that was also very welcoming. I went for the first time during the World Cup Brazil was playing on the large TVs there. The place was packed with a lot of a Brazil supporters and there was a great energy within the space. Unfortunately I was picking up my food to go but I will be back.“
