The service is horrible here. The employees always seem to have a bad attitude and there is no hospitality whatsoever. Another thing I don’t like is how they don’t have any menus which makes no sense. When I ordered my food, they mostly put bones and barely any meat. Don’t recommend coming here. I had a horrible experience.

Don't even bother ordering from this restaurant. I placed an order on Ubereats, for curry goat. I kept wondering why Uber kept changing drivers, so I contacted the restaurant. By this time, it had been over an hour when it should have been only 30 minutes. When I called the restaurant, the woman said that the delay was due to the goat not being ready, and it would be 15 more minutes. I asked her why they would even allow me to oder something they didn't have as yet, and she said they had it, bit wasn't ready. Then she said it would be another hour! At this point, I just asked for something else, and she had the nerve to want to charge me the price difference! Horrible customer service, and zero accountability. On top of that, the food was mediocre, and I juust threw it away.

My mum suggested dining at Island in the Pines on Saturday because she loves their food so I went with her suggestion. I live in South Florida but they don't, however, they are regular visitors. My Dad has been there before but a very long time ago. My mum has visited this restaurant quite a few time prior to Covid. We seated ourselves (party of 5) and waited for assistance. We ordered our food and to our surprise we were served in take-away containers. My Dad, being a traditional man from the Caribbean, was highly surprised and baffled. I approached to person assisting us and asked for plates. She replied, there are no plates. I asked why, she stated that since COVID they've been serving in these take-away containers. This restaurant is not a To go venue - there are many chairs for dining and having to eat in a take-away container changed the experience. This will be my last visit unless the service standard goes back to what it was.Kid-friendliness: OK

The food is good but the women working there were very rude and had a bad attitude for no reason whatsoever. I am a very polite person to everyone but these women got the same demeanor they were giving, rude and disrespectful. I don't treat someone like shit unless they ask for and that's what they got. I'll never kiss anyone's ass especially when there a Jamaican Restaurant on every corner in South Florida.

Taste of the brown stew chicken was underwhelming, as was the cabbage. Got three of the same pieces of the chicken, no variety. The service was good, immediately acknowledged and helped when I walked in.

Good evening it your girl okay looking out. Let me tell this place has the slowest service, the help has n attitude problem, argues and yell at customers. I think they have a sewage problem because it smells like waste. I had to leave.

Unfortunately I didn't even get to try it. On Friday they close at 9. I got there at 0725 and they said they are closed even though I walked in & the sign said open. The lady was sitting on a bench not even working. She said they stop serving an hour before closing. But it was an hour and a half before closing so why close early??

I have endless positive thoughts about this establishment. Incredible food full of freshness and flavor. The service is always friendly. And the ambiance provides a welcoming and warm tropical atmosphere. I love this restaurant. It never disappoints. 10/10, thank you island in the pines!

Food and service was horrible. We ordered stewed pork with rice and peas and curried goat with white rice. The goat had no seasoning. The scanty amount of curry powder used did not even color the goat appropriately. The stewed pork was just ok. The only edible portion of the meal was the steamed vegetables. This was a complete waste of money and I will never get the 47 minutes of time wasted from my life back.First of all we were not greeted upon arrival. You must place your order at the counter and the meal is brought to your table in to-go containers. There wasn't a garbage receptacle in the restaurant and we were told to throw our garbage in the bin outside. The men's restroom had no soap and no paper towels. But there was a sign on the door telling employees to wash their hands with soap after using the bathroom.Haven't been here in years and am completely shocked at the low quality of food now. There's a herbalist and smoothie shop on the premises now but we did not try their products..We will not return.

Had the jerk chicken here yesterday and it was delicious! Very friendly staff and visibly clean inside. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. Located in the corner of Lowe’s plaza.
