I've always heard about Dutch Pot and seen the commercials but never tried them and only went to the family owned Jamaican restaurants because by Dutch Pot being a chain restaurant I didn't think the food would be authentic. However I've tried it for the first time and the food was superbly authentic and delicious! The food is always amazing. The staff is normally very friendly just a little slow. But if you want some amazing ox tails or delicious fried chicken then i would definitely recommend this place. The portion sizes are great as well. A large order of oxtails normally lasts me for two meals.
This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere!
