Throwback Tavern is a family-friendly restaurant with a fun, no-frills atmosphere centered on 90s-00s nostalgia. The decor features throwback items like a Backstreet Boys book, and tables have quotes from movies and TV shows from that era. The concept is really cool and different.
The food is really good quality and does not disappoint. Popular menu items include the Throwback Burger with house sauce and caramelized onions, the classic burger, the Guava Nirvana burger, chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, waffles, sweet potato fries, fried pickles, and cheese fries with bacon. For drinks, the vanilla shakes are to die for and absolutely on point, and the dirty sodas are popular, especially the cherrylicious and the Miami Vice. The beer selection is excellent, though the cocktail menu is limited and they do not serve liquor.
The restaurant is very family friendly, featuring a small, free arcade room with working games that is great for kids. They also host event nights like trivia and karaoke. Service is great, attentive, and on point, with servers who know a lot about the menu. Bathroom cleanliness is also noted. Overall, it is a fantastic choice and a great place to eat.
