5 stars for service, 5 stars for the courtyard seating, 1 star for food. The seafood gumbo had no visible shrimp or meat. I think it was in there, but chopped up really well. It was edible, but not very good.Beignets were complimentary because they accidentally seated us next to a smelly pile of barf. The beignets were overcooked and slightly hard. I can't complain because they were free, but I wouldn't order them in the future. I ordered a black coffee which was surprisingly delicious - the best part of the meal.I might go back to sit the in the peaceful courtyard and adjust my expectations for the food. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
The servers were great and so were the bartenders. We had appetizers, they too were good
We went here for lunch. No wait. I got the Alabama White BBQ grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband got grilled chicken tenders with tater tots! My chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were VERY good. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had. Service was good.
Old historic complex. Food is average but nice place for grouos.
The staff was friendly and efficient. They did their jobs very well.
We used Apple Annie's for the venue for our small wedding in October. I cannot say kind enough words to express how phenomenal the staff was. They were so accommodating in their setup and helpful in decorating small things and setting our tables. We retained Ashley as our day-of-coordinator and she was an absolute ANGEL. She made sure we stayed on track without being too pushy. She made sure we had the best time and myself and my husband were comfortable and had everything we needed. They made certain that my husband and I had a vegan meal, which was our biggest fear... not eating dinner at our own wedding. The catering got rave reviews, the bartenders were quick and happy to serve signature cocktails that we requested, and the staff seemed so happy to be there to serve our families. They truly made us feel special on the happiest day of our lives. I'd recommend this as a venue for any wedding or large party.
My husband had eaten at Apple Annies in 2019 so we decided he and I would have lunch after a Saturday stroll thru the Palafox Market.Arriving, we were immediately greeted by the host and offered a table of our choice. He asked for our drink order and I requested Strawberry lemonade to which he answered oh, that's a sour we don't have that.....what did that even mean.My husband then ordered the grilled shrimp basket, I ordered the Apple Annie burger with coleslaw. Our meals arrived in a timely fashion however my husband's fries were EXTREMELY SALTY, more than normal. My burger was EXTREMELY SALTY ALSO. Other than that, the meal was fine. Perhaps they need to add lemonade to their fare along with sparing the salt shaker.
We had the most amazing experience with Ashley at Apple Annie’s for our wedding reception. She was so responsive throughout and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. We were originally going to get married in May 2020 but had to change the date twice due to COVID and she was very flexible as our plans changed twice. The dining area of Apple Annie’s is also very quaint yet rustic opening into a beautiful fountain in the courtyard which just makes special occasions like a wedding so memorable. Kudos to Ashley and her team for such a fabulous experience on our wedding day!

For these snowbirds, the outdoor seating was fantastic! Prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious, although the cheese bites were a bit greasy and the cheese had melted out of the batter. The blackened chicken was good and they offer a cauliflower crust pizza, made to order. The chicken strips had a type of tempura or beer batter that is typically not found on chicken strips, but it was very good. There is a tater tot option instead of fries. They forgot the Cole slaw which were were excited to try, but we also forgot it was missing, so I can’t say how that tasted. Our grown children really enjoyed the grilled chicken and the pimento cheese burger.
Food served fast. Server very attentive. Portions were large.
Just had our Christmas party here. Good food, great wait staff. Bathrooms were cleaner ?
