Bushwacker's Landing offers a unique, open-air pavilion setup with food and beverage trailers and all outdoor seating. Orders are placed at counters and delivered to tables. The location and views over the docks are outstanding, featuring newly built docks and a big, nice post-and-beam shelter. It is very dog friendly.

The food receives mixed reviews. Positive items include the excellent flavor of the Grouper sandwich, good chicken basket, fantastic crawfish and cheese grits, and a very good combination oyster platter. The fried shrimp is described as excellent, lightly battered, and large. The Brussel sprouts are called outstanding. Other good options are the crawfish boil, fried fish, pork belly tacos, and boiled peanuts. However, consistency is an issue, with the Grouper sandwich sometimes soggy and its bun falling apart, and the chicken basket varying in temperature. The cole slaw needs more vinegar and sugar, and the signature bushwacker drink is criticized for lacking flavor.

The atmosphere is lively with live music, many TVs, and a family and pet-friendly vibe. The restrooms are in a new, clean building. Service is frequently praised as outstanding, fantastic, and great. The beer selection includes local favorites.
