Sat at the oyster bar twice this week and the oysters were awesome! However, it was the young man shucking that made the visit so pleasant! Kudo’s to the young man.
We are in Perdido Key for vacation and our shuttle bus driver recommended Salty Pearl. Everything was amazing! Our group of 10 was able to be accommodated even though they have a small indoor dining space. I had the crab claws platter which came with hush puppies, fries and coleslaw and s’mores cheesecake for dessert. Grouper nuggets were incredible and the fries were crispy and salty! Always listen to locals when they recommend restaurants!!
First time there… party of 6 no wait. Service & food was Great! If we had 1 thing that wish they would change it would be to chop slaw up just a little more.

Based on the reviews, Salty Pearl Raw Bar and Steamer delivers delicious fresh seafood without being fancy. The chargrilled oysters, crab clusters, fresh catch tacos, boom boom shrimp, and blackened shrimp are excellent. The hush puppies are home made. The food comes out fast and is fantastic, making it one of the best dinner spots. The service is incredible and excellent, with staff who guide guests through the menu from drinks to dessert. The atmosphere is perfect, with live music and outdoor seating. While there is a bit of a bug problem, the food is worth the wait. It is a local sleeper and a very good spot to eat.
