They were very complementary and as the night went on, I told my girlfriend if I ever came at the Pensacola, this is the way I would like to enjoy my evening. The bartender was great. “Old Hickory Whiskey Bar never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and perfectly suited for a relaxing evening. The dim lighting, candle glow, and shelves lined with bottles give it that classic, almost timeless feel. I ordered a pour of Lagavulin 16, and it was served with care. It was the kind of attention you expect from people who genuinely appreciate good whiskey/scotch. The staff knew their stuff and made great recommendations without being pushy. It’s not a place for food, but it’s a place for conversation, good company, and enjoying a drink the way it’s meant to be enjoyed. One of those bars that makes you slow down and savor the moment.“
