I try not to post negatively about a place unless it really gets to me. I had an experience yesterday at the Fisherman's Corner that I have never experienced before. Anyone that knows me, knows I LOVE their salads, and yesterday was no exception. It was excellent. The issue was how they treated my friend. When we go to lunch, we go to Fisherman's Corner exclusively. She ordered a poboy which was supposed to be fried Flounder. It was the most catfish looking piece of flounder I have ever seen. The staff assured her it was flounder so she said, ok, I'll eat it. There is a reason she pushed the issue and that is because she doesn't like catfish. She slathered some rumalade and attempted to eat it. She made it through the thinner end, but when she tried to eat the very thick end, she said this is catfish. I can't. She asked the waiter for the menu, and she ordered something else. She told the waiter, that was catfish. She places her order for a bowl of gumbo and while we are waiting, and waiting, and waiting....(Thankfully I had a delicious salad) another waitress comes to our table (at the front) with a plate of raw fish on it. It had two pieces and she rudely stated she wanted to show her what the catfish and flounder filets looked like raw and she was served flounder. She did not have on gloves, a hair net, nothing. She just had a plate of raw, uncovered fish walking through the restaurant. I am still rather floored at the whole encounter. I have to wonder what she did with the fish. Did she take the uncovered fish she handled with her bare hands, walked through the restaurant with, had a discussion over, and serve it to someone else? The only other option is that she threw away two good pieces of fish to try to prove her point to a very long time loyal customer.

Shrimp were cocktail shrimp no andouille sausage in it. Oh wait it was a little piece of sausage as as big as an eraser on a pencil the gravy was gummy along with the vegetables, onions and celery or just thrown in there and warmed up tasted like crap I would go to Waffle House plenty of other places that are way better sunset Grill

Excellent! Cannot recommend it enough! They have the best pork chop ever. It comes with a delicious raspberry sauce. The Cole slaw is also out of this world. The crab cakes had a nice balance of spice and the basic crab cake concoction. The service was superb. They really anticipate your every need and had excellent recommendations. You cannot miss going to Fisherman’s Corner when in the area!

First time to visit & food was excellent! The
Seared Tuna app was delicious. The grilled shrimp dinner was very good. Their sautéed squash & zucchini was amazing, cooked with white wine, garlic butter. Fried okra was good, not greasy at all. Our server Laura was nice and professional. We will definitely be back, I want to try the crab cakes next time. Reasonably priced. 😋

Poor service, poorer food (tasted freezer burned) but a good sunset view.

We have always loved Fisherman's Corner. Usually excellent food.
However, our last outing was surprisingly poor. The debris fries were dry, gumbo was not hot and service was sporadic. We elected to forego an entre.
Hoping for better next time.

Great place, went on labor day and they were very busy, yet they got the food out very quick. Clean feeling and great service. Brent was great and very helpful. We picked the shrimp Alfredo and its really, really good. We split that and a bread pudding Carmel dessert. I never give 10 out of 10s...but this place is a 10.
