First time here. Found it by all the 5 ⭐️ reviews, and let me tell ya, it didn’t disappoint. Brent our server was excellent and gave us his favorite recommendations. We tried the pork with blackberry sauce and the fish special over mashed potatoes with a cream sauce and green beans. I am a huge Caesar salad snob and my side Caesar was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The dressing was perfection! We boxed up half our dinner to save room for the praline bread pudding- thank the lord we did. Having been to New Orleans plenty of times, this one blew theirs outta the water!. Hot, creamy , smooth…to die for. Every bit of food came out hot and fresh and Brent was excellent. Do yourself a favor and eat here! We can’t wait to come back…

This place is awful. We ordered noodles and butter for our child and they charged us for a full price adult meal. The adult meal included shrimp which wasn't even provided with our dish. In addition the manager talks to customers like children and isn't customer oriented. Avoid this place at all cost!

Upon our arrival we were greated with an oder of rotting trash and/or vomit. It's like any beach dive with a very basic setting. No need to dress. The food was good and with the price$$$ you should expect it to be. The service was fantastic. But the Bread Pudding... Didn't leave without it. The most amazing I've ever had and I've had "the best".Parking: It's a gravel lot, unmarked, most spaces are across a little street. This place is practically under a bridge. There were some people double parking which would make it difficult for others to leave. Vacationers often are terrible drivers and park even worse. LolWheelchair accessibility: The lot as I said is gravel which is no bueno for wheelchairs, there is however a wooden ramp for accessibility into the shack like restaurant. This is supposed to be the place to go for good food. My husband was dying over his fried snapper. I had a shrimp and pasta dish with mushrooms and a white wine sauce. The shrimp were medium sized and perfectly cooked. It was good - not enough flavor to knock your socks off. Primarily a giant plate of Angel hair pasta. The service was totally on point. The bread Pudding however was unlike any I had ever had before and it totally rocked my world. I'm still thinking about it. Beyond delicious. I do believe it had a few pecans on top which my husband hates, but he loved this!!! We aren't drinkers and in our party of 4 there were 2 tap waters (yuk) with no extras other than two orders of bread pudding and it was $200. Thw bread pudding was a square piece about 3" to 3.5". I would have preferred a couple more inches since we were sharing. Delicious Perfection in a desert none the less!!

We've been dining here for 6 years and disappointed in this last visit. They used to serve fresh garden salad with your entries and no longer do. The food doesn't seem to have the quality it had before. Heard there were new owners?

April 2024 - Paid another visit. Two of us the crab cake sandwiches (very filling), and my friend's wife raved about the fried green tomatoes. One shortcoming: Limited selection of full-bodied mainstream American beer such as Budweiser, PBR, Rolling Rock, Miller, or Busch. All but two were "light or "craft" varieties. A special nod to our server Logan who was especially well-informed about menu and drink selections.April, 2023 - I've lived nearby for over 20 years. Took a good friend - who was visiting - there for lunch. Top notch food... and paragon service from Penny.

Amazing locals restaurant! The bread pudding was to die for! Those fried green tomatoes so good! Our waitress TC was so cute, I wanted to pack her in my suitcase and take her home with me! She needs to come to Michigan! If I could give her 10 stars I would! Such a great hidden little gem. You need to go there if you’re in the area in need a little break from the beachy restaurants.

This place was recommended to me and did not disappoint. Nothing fancy, but down home atmosphere and excellent food and service. I had the Shrimp Diane and it was delicious. It was big enough to split with my partner! And, the bread pudding was to die for! I am looking forward to going back soon. Go early. It gets crowded.

Has major charm (for us that love the old fishing Hut look) with outstanding service and some great food. Lots of creole specialities that were delicious - gumbo, blackened chicken Alfredo, shrimp and grits, and crawfish etouffee were amazing. So was the bread pudding. My only comaint was it was expensive (but oh, so worth it).
