Coffee and hot chocolate a couple of bakery items. There were so many cars we thought it would be packed but, it wasn't. Seemed like a gathering place for locals. We live 25 miles away but gave it a shot. Not bad

The Drowsy Poet is delightful! My son and I were passing through Pensacola and decided to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The coffee is roasted in house and delicious, the pastries are so yummy and the customer service is unbeatable. The owner Bill took time to chat with us and it was an absolute pleasure to getting to know him. This place is a must stop!!

Wanted to support a local business so skipped Dunkin’ to try this place out. Went through their drive-thru which isn’t the easiest to navigate and ordered a matcha latte. Tasted overly sweet like a sugar bomb and the matcha powder wasn’t even mixed into the drink, it was all clumpy at the bottom. Paid $6-$7 for this drink. They were also testing out a new payment system the day I went and it made the checkout process a little difficult. All in all, I wouldn’t be willing to give this place a second chance with how my first and last visit went.

They had the AC blasting. I had to leave it was so uncomfortable. Also if you are looking to getting some work/study done, good luck as they restrict the internet use to 1 hour.

Good coffee, high prices. Nice atmosphere though. I quite going when they asked if I wanted whipped cream on my poetchino and charged me $.75 after it has been free every time before when I went. They didn't even tell me it was a charge they just went ahead and added it. They told me it was due to rising whipped cream prices which I understand but on a poetchino it should be free and if it isn't your supplied isn't going up that much you need to charge $.75 for a small serving of whipped cream on top of a $6-$7 drink.

Definitely a cute place to meet and hang out. They have plenty of space inside and outside seating as well. This was our 1st time being there and loved it.We will definitely be back to try other menu items. My mango smoothie was very refreshing. I loved that they didn't add any other ingredients. This location is right by PCA, PCC, and Baptist hospital...a quick in and out place if you need something quick. The entire staff was very friendly!

This location has become a greedy hollow shell of what it once was. I came to this location when it first opened many years ago. Now upon coming back I am asked to pay $17+ for two lattes when I get the exact same order at the Drowsy Poet on Navy for $5 less than that.I guess they are all franchised and individually owned. Be aware this owner will nickel and dime extra charges all over(even having higher card vs cash prices... That's your fees not ours)! This is the original location and I expected a lot better. They let me down and that sucks when my home is mere blocks away... I'll drive to another location.
