Owner's son was our wait staff. He is very professional, polite, and friendly. Popcorn shrimp appetizer was very tasty. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Shrimp salad was large and very fresh. Pleased with both service and meals.
This place has been hit or miss the last couple times here. Last night we had a party of 6. It took an hour and a half to get our food. When it arrived it was cold and tasted terrible. And like before they were out of items, seems like a trend lately. After spending over 200 dollars on our meal you would assume it would be at least warm
Josey C., our waitress, made us feel welcome from the moment we made eye contact. Elders and teen alike enjoyed the family vibe. We had oyster, shrimp, coleslaw and turnip greens with hush puppies. The service and food were impeccable. 10 out of 10!
We stopped by to eat after seeing an ad on Google only to find out that they had changed owners and names. But we were glad we came anyway. The food and service were great and no big crowds, just a laid back atmosphere with good food. It is located at a fishing camp and is kinda hid away under a bridge, but not too hard to find.,
The food was delicious. Nothing was overly fried. It was perfect. The catfish and fried okra was some of the best, if not the best I have ever had.
First time patron. OMG! Food was amazing! Shrimp & crab chowder was out of this world. Definitely will be back and if same level of quality - it will become my nee go-to. Wow - just wow!
Use to be favorite spots to eat. However today the server and the food were horrible. We were ask to seat ourselves. After which the couple that came in after me and mom was seated by a sever. The rude sever gave them a menu and took their drink order while we had to wait. We got our food and it was hair in my sandwich which I felt was done on purpose. Never seen this lady a day in my life. I don’t know what’s her deal. However if you visit this horrible place make sure you stay away from the brunette mid age sever. I took one bite of my sandwich I was done. She was so bad she sent a young server to finish helping us.
Didn’t ask them to take the food back because at this point I trust it. Didn’t feel welcome.

Warning- NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY
Restaurant was freezing, on a cool rainy day in March. Not very crowded, but still took awhile to get our food. Food was tasty, but my daughter, who has celiac disease, got very sick after eating. She ordered shrimp and grits, which in their defense, when asked, they said they didn't know is it was GF. At their prices, we're surprised to find the chief uneducated about gluten, but as that's typically a GF dish we ordered it. I wish we hadn't. Otherwise good food, but needless to say we won't be returning.

Fairly good food and service. I thought the chowder was good, but somewhat salty. My friend said his fish sandwich , while large, was just okay”. Salads were good as was the service. Located in a strip shopping center.

Don't let the shopping center or the meager entrance deter you from visiting the Fishing Hole. This place has a surprising NOLA vibe, a smartly curated menu and serves excellent food. Try the shrimp and grits, mullet, catfish or the Mahi Mahi, the result will be the same... the food is so good it'll make your lips smack your eyeballs! At least that's how my dad (81) summed it up.

Compare to the one in Milton, this place did not impress me. The smoke tuna dip was different than we had in Milton, so they must have different recipe. The one we were served here was very wet and lose dip and too much mayonnaise that killed smokey flavor. I would preffer the Milton location overall.

We eat here a lot and have never had this bad of service. Taylor P if you see this please try to do better. You never checked on us after you brought us our food. My wife had to get up and go get her own refill and even then you just stared at her and the other waitress got it for her. Didn’t even come to check on us after that to see if I needed a refill. Didn’t show up until it was time to bring the check. I left a tip not a full tip but left something we normally tip very well. Don’t know what happened to all the regular waitresses but they were a lot more friendly and attentive. Today’s date is 01-28-2025 and 7:30 pm. Watching her interact with the people beside us she didn’t even ask them if they needed anything. They had to ask for stuff as well. Please do better because we love coming here but the wait staff has gone downhill.
