My detailed experience: As I entered the store, I do the first thing most sane people do, check the prices. I looked up at the dangling menu like willem dafoe looked up at the sky in that one meme. Anxiety running laps in my mind, doubt slowly overcoming my body. I wasn’t just cautious, I was skeptical. However, I remembered my mother’s inspiring words, “I didn’t raise no wuss.” I pushed through and paid like the courageous man my mom raised me to be. Then it all changed. Nothing would have ever prepared me for the first bite. The sense of relief, glory, and accomplishment. My taste buds celebrating like they just scored a last-minute Word Cup final goal. The smore scoop alongside the cookies and cream scoop flowed in harmony, like two peas in a pod, with the crunch of the cone as the cherry on top. No regrets.
