Food was alright. The ladies were super nice. Place is dirty and the worst part is the price. $20 for the smallest sub. Plus no prices listed anywhere. Horrible business model. Very dishonest
When I was a kid over 40 years, I've wonder what the cheesesteak taste like. I was pleasantly surprised it's in the same locations. As many businesses came and gone Famous Phil's sub still remains. My daughter college graduate is my food critic. She took 1 look at and realized yep this is a good cheesesteak. The look on her face was enough to know we got a winner. I took 1 bite it was amazing, awesome not a lot of grease. This cheesesteak is better than sonny's....
I must say my recent visit to Famous Phil's subs shop exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in I could tell that this family run business was legit. In business for 60+ years, they really do pay close attention to quality. I ordered the steak bomb sandwich and it had plenty of flavor, steak was cooked perfect. Portions were large / enough to eat half and save half for later. One of the best cheesesteaks around and that's not a compliment I toss around lightly....
