“A hidden gem. Upon entering the cozy, warmly lit space of Shishka , the aroma of grilled meats and spices immediately tantalized my senses. The decor transported me to the heart of Beirut with its low key parisian vibe, mosaic tiles and traditional music playing softly in the background. For starters, the hummus was velvety smooth, topped with a generous drizzle of high-quality olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika, served alongside warm, pillowy pita bread. The tabbouleh was a refreshing mix of finely chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, and bulgur, dressed in a zesty lemon vinaigrette that awakened the palate. The mulukhia brought tears to my eyes as it reminded me of my mom's home cooking. The mixed grill platter was a carnivore's delight, featuring succulent pieces of marinated chicken, kibbeh and kebabs. Each bite was perfectly charred on the outside while remaining tender and juicy within. The accompanying garlic sauce was a revelation, adding a pungent kick that complemented the smoky flavors of the meat.Vegetarians would not feel left out, as the falafel was expertly crafted—crispy on the outside, yet soft and flavorful on the inside, with hints of cumin and coriander. It was served with a side of tahini sauce that provided a creamy, nutty balance to the dish.To end the meal, the milk pudding was a sweet masterpiece, with layers of nuts, and raisins and just the right amount of orange blossom water and honey syrup that sweetened without overwhelming.Service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, with Henry eager to share his knowledge of the dishes and ensure a pleasant dining experience.Shishka offered me and my family an authentic taste of Lebanese cuisine,it was for my daughter's birthday dinner, with each dish showcasing the fresh ingredients and rich flavors that make this culinary tradition so beloved. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the delights of Middle Eastern food.“
“The last time I reviewed Pita Nosh was in 2017. Different owner but the same great chef, with the best knishes in all of Florida. As a native New Yorker my first 36 years of life (now 61) I will even say they are better then any knishes I have had in NYC since the 1970s. They are the best, better than all the rest! If you have not already been to Pita Nosh, I highly recommend you do so. Note, I have not had it in a while but I also love their matzo ball soup.“
“Our breakfast was a wonderful experience..ate outside and enjoyed our French toast and omelette. The experience was enhanced by our server who was a delight and set the tone for the day ahead. We are abit vague on her name (Candice??)...we are on a Wed morningNo doubt we will return“
“Delicious healthy food. Have had delivery many times. Visited their restaurant once , nice ambiance, very friendly employees. Their portions are very generous as well. I bought 4 gift certificates on sale at Costco. Great deal. I will be a regular!!“
“Everything was as expected, except I didn't pay attention prices and was slightly sticker shocked for 2 people nearly $270 with tip. Only 1 glass of wine, one shared entree, and a side. However, I don't know any other good places in Ft Lauderdale which can be synonymous with trash. Get away from Las Olas and come here. You won't regret it. Nothing much down there anyway. As of time of writing, parking $24 after a $6 discount from validation. Maybe worth it to street park and walk if it's nice out. 8oz wine pour $26 also so for what it's worth, might be better to bring a bottle and do the corkage or skip it and focus on the food. Barnzini and potato side were both phenomenal. One criticism is that once they pick out all of the bones, it's almost cold. Warm still, but I guess that was a factor to mention a $100+ fish. Watch out for schemes. The wine by the glass said $16 but the 8oz pour was $26. Just pay attention unlike me. I wouldn't recommend getting 2 desserts. One was enough and neither were phenomenal. Perfectly prepared, but not what I'd come back for alone.Tbh I was impressed, but you can do as well at authentic in thr SoFla area. Overall 4 Seasons Restaurants are usually able to be relied on for quality, so if you just don't want to mess around because you have a night or so, you can't lose here.“
“In my opinion one of the best middle eastern (especially Turkish) markets in the area (and I’ve been to most). The butcher department is exceptional, the product assortment is fresh, well organized and very large. I found many brands, products and ingredients that I haven’t seen since I was last in Turkey; whereas many of the other middle eastern food markets in the area all seem to carry the same brands and product assessments. The only negative comment is that either I was overcharged at the register for every product I purchased or all the pricing signage in the whole store is wrong. This is definitely misleading and needs to be addressed as it makes it hard for a customer to shop. My total was actually about $15 more than I expected according to my calculations while shopping. Later when I checked the receipt every item was up charged $1-$4 more from what the price displays stated. Even at the butcher department I was told by the employee that the Kofte would be $10 and on the receipt I was charged $15, 30% is quite a bit to be off when quoted a price. I will definitely be back, but will be checking the prices a bit more carefully next time.“
“First time and can’t wait to come back. Our waiter was a nice young man who helped us with the menu. We ordered a bunch of hot appetizers and made a meal of it. Would be a great choice for a group too as there are so many small dishes to share. Try it!“
“Amazing place . Fast service . Clean . Good and many salad choices to add to ur pita shawarma / falafel / steak wrap . The food is sooo good. I got the rib eye steak in a pita . Pretty good pricing and well worth getting food here . It tastes israeli and fresh.“
“Love the service! Love the food!! Love the music! I’ll be back with the rest of my family soon! The restaurant is clean, comfortable and easy to find. Food is delicious and affordable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that can appreciate Mediterranean food.“

“These guys are on point. Always consistently great. No surprises. I’m go here at least once or twice a week. Excellent simple clean Greek food. Prices are also extremely affordable. High quality ingredients. Most everything made on premises. Love this place!“
“First time ordering from this place, was a bit disappointed with the conch fritters, the flavor was there, however I feel they were extremely overcooked. Philly cheese steaks were amazing and so were the chicken tenders. Will certainly eat from here again and try some other menu items.“
“The freshness of the food is something you can taste no matter what fish you order. the staff was very friendly and even tho you order at the register and pay beforehand, you receive full service at the table. We finally have outstanding Greek Food in Boca!! they have a homemade Baklava they serve from the same try it was baked... it doenst get any fresher than that....And they cater for private and corporate events too!“
“Years ago I stumbled upon Izgara as a cheap and delicious option in Plantation. 4 years later and this place continues to serve incredible flavors at great prices. My favorite dish will forever be the hummus plates. You may think that there is such a thing as too much hummus, but not this hummus. It's strangely addicting. The service makes you feel like you're home. Nothing fancy but made with love. LENTIL SOUP A savory soup made with yellow lentils. $4.50 HUMMUS GRILLED LAMB Skewered lamb seasoned and grilled with sweet onions. Served with warm grilled pita. $13.95 TRIO SANDWICHES Three ( 1/2) pitas of falafel, chicken shawarma, and beef kabob. $14.95 LAMB KABOB ENTRÉE A savory ground lamb with onions, garlic, parsley, spices, and a hint of jalapeno. Served with a fresh salad. $16.95“
“The sunrise mix mini plate was a lot of food and great quality. I'd definitely get it again. My friend that got the kabab spicy said it wasn't spicy, and said it lacked some flavor and wasn't worth the price. Because of her order I have to knock off a star. Was very satisfied with mine. The tahini was great on the hummus, and the eggplant was fire. The young chicken was very tender, as was the shawarma. Take a chance on this place!“
“Wow! I just stopped by Rice Mediterranean Kitchen on 401 Las Olas Blvd. with my friends and wow, the food is absolutely tasty and very affordable and they give a very good portion for the price.World class customer service. The place is very clean. Yunior served us, he’s very nice and attentive; they’re all very nice. I highly recommend this place where you can eat with peace of mind. Go check it out! Do you want me disappointed. I will be back again.“
“I am voting Boca Raton and just stopped at Boca’s gorgeous mall. While there, I saw Maoz, a small Middle Eastern restaurant. They have a good menu, but I only ordered the falafels to go. OMG! These are easily the most delicious falafels I have ever had in my life (and I’ve had a lot!!!). I plan to stop again tomorrow.“
“Sensational ! A must go place ! Loved the food and excellent service! Delicious ! Great variety ! The watm cheese pistachio dessert is phenomenal! Warms the heart. On Saturdays they have belly dancing for entertainment. Experience the middle east! Thru food! Superb! AAA!Vegetarian options: Tabule“
“OMG you can't go wrong. The food is excellent and the price is fair and reasonable.Fresh soft shawarma, amazing falafel and perfect french fries.Standing in the store you literally hear people eating the food and going mmmmmm, so good.Do yourself a favor, try it.“
“This place is a hidden treasure. I am very picky and went here with two foodies one friend lived in Iran for years. My other friend from New Jersey. We got the luncheon special Chicken Kabob,Beef Kabob, rice etc. The vegetables were so fresh and delicious. The Kabobs were so tender I didn't even use my knife. My friends gave this charming restaurant a big 5 star thumb up. Can't wait to go back!!“
“It's been a long time since I've eaten here and it still the best place for shawarma or falafel. I was get the wrap, because you get the ingredients distributed evenly. Sorry for not taking a picture before I ate, but I add a shot before I was done. Friendly staff, clean place.“
“Another great score: my new neighborhood includes a an authentic, family-owned Greek spot, The Gyro Joint, with amazing food & friendly service not even 2 minutes away! This is already the 2nd time this week my sister & I have gotten their food. My only gripe so far is that they're not open later than 9pm! Already confirmed their gyros are the bomb so tried wings tonight and they did not disappoint! Crispy, meaty, & served with a tasty housemade dipping sauce. Deeeeelish! Can't wait to try more!“
