“I had an afternoon meal on my trek along I-75. I had my usual chicken and dumplings with green beans, mashed potatoes, fried apples and biscuits. It was delicious, hot and fast. The waitresses worked together and kept food and drinks moving. The management team was meeting at the big table beside me. It was exciting to hear them planning positive customer experiences for the coming holidays. The company has made notable improvements with a return to high food quality and large portions. “I stopped there after a dentist appointment, I ordered the “ Dixie Chick” and fruit. The sandwich was delicious, and the fruit sweet. The little cookie was also delicious. I recommend ou stop and get a bite to eat. You wont be disappointed.“

“Golden Corral Punta Gorda 5-18-24: Stopped by for dinner at 4:30ish and this place was packed. The parking lot was full and once inside the right side of all the tables were occupied. This place was clean and everything around the food areas were also clean. I have been to this place a couple times as my dad who is 92 loves this buffet and all the food choices. The main food bar is packed with all kinds of food items to choose from. To start at one end is Steak, Mushrooms, Onions & Peppers, Onion Rings, Ribs, Meat Loaf, Fried Shrimp, Chicken Wings, Fried Chicken, Bourbon Street Chicken, Pot Pie, Fried or baked Fish, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Macaroni & Cheese, Rolls, Baked Potatoes, all kinds of vegetables this is just to name a few. On the Taco bar there is Taco Meat, Shells and all the fixings to make any kind of tacos you want. Now the salad bar is packed with all kinds of fruit, and they also have crab salad. There is so much to choose from and too much to name. The desert bar has all kinds of cakes and pies plus ice cream and some fixings for that. I use to get pie and bread pudding for dessert, it was so good. I don’t care for the ice cream but others in my party loved it. I got the steak for the main course, and they will do it how you like it. The Steak was good, not too tough, and not too chewy, it was large enough. I always get the Fried Shrimp and Mashed Potatoes and they both were good and hot. I make sure I get some Pot Pie as it reminds me of back home. It was hot, full of Chicken and very good. I end up with the crab salad now its imitation crab but its good enough for me as I try to stay away from deserts. This place has never disappointed me as far as the quantity of food they have. It is a buffet and if you want a 5 diamond or Michelin star restaurant this may not be the place for you. If you want a large selection of food and food that is tasty this may be just the place for you. I say try it and draw your own conclusion.
