Don Giovanni contemporary italian and pizzeria

What a fabulous New Year's Eve dinner Gio, Shana, and their staff put together. Plenty of delicious choices for appetizer, main course, and dessert. Simply OUTSTANDING!! By the way, I have to echo my wife's (Chris-Goggins Tiberi) comments about the young man who complained his lasagna was watery and the food was terrible. I'm a native Italian and this is the only Italian restaurant in the U.S. I eat at...The ingredients are top quality, the dishes are prepared to order, and the food is authentic Neapolitan and delicious. The service is warm, friendly, inviting, and courteous. I don't want to speculate about what may have been troubling the young man, but if he truly considered his lasagna substandard, I daresay he knows little to nothing about genuine Italian cuisine. Anyway, thanks Gio, Shana, and team for another fantastic treat. Buon Anno a voi e a tutti!!

The server didnt really speak english which is fine but she brought me the wrong food and i ordered lasagna ans my girlfriend ordered chicken bruschetta. She didnt eat her food and honestly my lasagna was the worst i have ever had. It seemed as if the beef was boiled. The middle of the lasagna was very watery. I wouldnt recommend this place. The atmosphere and the staff seemed friendly but the food was horrible.

Some family members took me there for my birthday, It was great seeing my family. But the food what kind of red sauce was that wow not very good at all . Everyone who had red sauce didn't eat much of it. They asked do you want it to go we said no thank you. Had a meatball sub the meatballs were not very good. They say they make them fresh i bet they frozen them after making them. The bread was not hot on a meatball sub so that mades it very soggy. If someone ask you to go there better food almost anywhere else

Holy Mackerel. I have always had good meals (veal parm, lasagna, pizza, etc) here at Don Giovanni’s, but tonight sadly my wife wasn’t able to join me. Hmmmm….what could I have that would pick up my spirits? Well Shana, the owner, offered me the special that will make your head spin. It was a dish that consist of a 12oz Mahi (no that isn’t a typo), 3 large shrimps, Blue Crab meat mixed in nicely with a Lobster Cream Sauce and I had with a side of fettuccine. There are other pasta options available.. Being a special most would expect $45-$55, but noooooo. It’s mid 30’s, along with a house salad, unlimited bread (oil, parm & pepper). Why mess up the kitchen come to Don Giovanni’s in Port Orange across from Publix at I-95 and Dunlawton. Ask for Shana and relax. FYI….you will loveeee her wine pours…lol.

This is by far the best Italian food I’ve ever had. My husband and I split the margarita pizza and fettuccine Alfredo. Best ever!!! I cannot wait to come back when we are in town!!!

Amazing customer service! Co-owner Shana is an absolute sweetheart. Everyone working was kind, quick, and efficient. Food was outstanding! Great atmosphere and all around a 10/10 experience! Would definitely recommend for date night, family dinner, pizza take out, you name it!😊

Vegetarian options: vegan cheese pizzas, majority of the pastas are vegan, salads, bread, subs, even a vegan lemon sorbet dessert!

Dietary restrictions: Wide variety of healthy options, gluten free, and vegan. Everything is delicious!

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! Great Atmosphere! The kids loved watching the pizza guy do his thing!

Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating to any disabled person. They treat you like family and make room anywhere!

Have always had good food here before and am something of a regular, but then tonight I was told to wait 15 minutes for a table so I waited, and 20+ minutes later I'm told that since I was a party of 1 that the manager wouldn't seat me inside and that instead I would have to sit outside in the cold windy weather. Apparently she didn't want to waste an inside table on me but then couldn't be bothered to say anything until I had waited the whole time. The customer service was deplorable and I do hope the owner reads this review as this experience was not consistent with the experience I have received before when he is there, and I was so frustrated and upset that I left right away.

This little restaurant was a real treat. Fantastic service and atmosphere. This small restaurant is serving up excellent contemporary Italian dishes. Home baked bread with olive oil and herbs was delicious. My wife got the chicken parmigiana, and I asked for angel hair pasta and clams. Both were expertly crafted and served by our server, who helped with my decision. Just go! Fresh salads too!

Went in for lunch one day and had the buffalo chicken canzone. It was the best calzone ive ever had, ive been back 6 times in the last 2 months. Staff and atmosphere are incredible as well! I finally branched out and tried the peperoni pizza and the chicken rolata and those were amazing too! 10/10 recommended!

I was so excited after a long and difficult day to spoil myself, decided to reward myself by getting lasanga. Paid $20 for the worse lasagna I have ever had! Sooo disapointing!! Ground meat, no cheese and bland sauce. Never again!
Shana, I have never had lasagna that didn't have ricotta cheese, whats up with that?? Your lazana sucks!!!
