My favorite thing about Takara is to sit at the bar with friendly, engaging, and super talented bar tenders! The fresh sushi is outstanding!

This place was so cute, elegant, and perfect for family, friend or date nights! The owner is super kind and very caring! And her husband makes amazing food! We only tried the hibachi but it was great with their homemade yum yum sauce! I 1000/10 recommend this place to try if you’re in the lutz area!

IThis is by far best hibachi dinner I've ever had! The rice was beyond perfect, sticky and fluffy, and flavor. The steak combination chicken Hibachi dinner was amazing! Great Chef back there! The customer service between Jose, Emily, and Ariel😬 we were treated like royalty. No drink left half empty, they were there for us every beck and call. Extraordinary customer service and supers food! Definitely will be back!!

After a full day of experiences, we chose to end our night at Takara. We originally planned to show up around 8 pm, though we ended up passing out from a full day of activities and didn't show up until 9 pm. We weren't doing a reservation, though we were one of the last few guests arriving for the night.
I will say the service was great! Even though we were sitting alone at our hibachi table, they never seemed upset or bothered by our presence and made every effort to ensure that we had a great time. I actually prefer that to a packed area anyways, as I'm not always very outgoing unless I already know you pretty well. Our wait staff was also on point from ordering our food to keeping our drinks full, and clearing the table when we needed.
Our chef was talented and cooked our food well. I will say, however, it's not the best hibachi I've had. We love hibachi, though, and this is not a negative in the slightest. The food was great! It wasn't exceptional, but it was great, and for the price and amount that you get, it was well worth it.
They also have a great location, I will say. For us, it was within walking distance of our hotel (less than half a mile) though we drove over because of how late we arrived. It's also right beside a theater, which is a great way to get people going in or coming out of the theater after seeing their movie.
Inside was gorgeous, though. I really loved the decor and theme they had throughout the establishment. It's well worth the visit for an experience. And even if it wasn't the best hibachi we've ever had, I'd revisit in a heartbeat because it was still really good nonetheless.

Takara still has some of the best sushi around but the service has certainly gone down hill. I'm going to be picky but we got served a soup with a scorched spoon that should have been thrown out. Plain tacky IMO for a place with price levels like this. They also let a customer have a dog in the inside dining area by the bar. It didn't even have the BS service dog vest on. On the good side, the food was terrific once we finally got to order. We thought that the waitress had ghosted us, oh wait, I'm on the good side. My wife and I split the Triple Sushi Platter and we were not disappointed. Nice, big pieces of sushi and super fresh. We really loved the Tricolor Roll also. Since we were splitting we also got a Cerviche Roll and that was a wonderful choice. The rolls are huge. I'm going back here for the food all day long. Maybe takeout next time I'm in the area.

We kept waiting for Batman or Dr Strange. The atmosphere is dark with high contrasting lights - white spot lights, red and yellow lights with dark geometric shades.
The food was really good. Whenever I go to a new sushi place I almost always get a rainbow roll, a squid sashimi and seaweed salad - all three were excellent so I would guess everything else is too. My girlfriend had The vegetable tempura app and warm saki, she enjoyed both. The waitress was kind and prompt.
Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian.
