I get breakfast here once a week as a treat to myself and this morning I got cheese grits as I want to try everything they make. These were the best cheese grits I have ever had, full of flavor, so creamy, so warm. Usually I get it to go and eat when I get home I’m sitting in the parking lot as I type this they didn’t even last the drive. I need to eat gluten free. We were in the area for just one day and we found a mention for the Sand Dollar Cafe. It was wonderful! Almost everything they serve is gluten free and is clearly marked. The food is made from scratch and with love. You can taste it! \nThe food is served cafeteria style so you get to choose exactly what you want. I enjoyed tasting with my eyes before my mouth. \nWe are planning to return to Port St Joe for a vacation and we will be frequenting this place.
We popped in real fast to grab lunch since we were staying in the area for a birthday trip. We rolled in about a half hour before they closed to get 4 take out plates. Everyone was pleasant and friendly and they entertained my toddler and her barrage of questions. They answered any food related questions we had and we got our food in record time.
