DINA'S VEGAN DELI & DESSERTS

As an almost life-long SpongeBob fan, I travelled 1.5 hours for the krabby patty, and I left planning to someday return to try the Philly Cheesesteak. The staff is very kind, and the atmosphere is super fun and pleasant — especially if you’re from Philly! I mean they had the 3 Stooges playing silently on TV; how unique is that?! The fruity-cheesy pastry was out of this world, even though I typically prefer chocolate, and the chocolate truffle was lovely, too. The krabby patty was delicious, though not accurate to SpongeBob’s because he made each one with pickles, ketchup, and mustard, and none of those were inside of this krabby patty. If the intention wasn’t to veganize and make SpongeBob’s krabby patty a reality, then I feel like it should’ve been named differently, but it didn’t matter much because it tasted so great anyway. The beans and the mac & cheese were delicious, as well.

Hands down my favorite spot. Have had both vegan and non-vegan friends try it and everyone loves the food! Dina and the staff are very friendly and personable. She’s always creating new options for the menu and is likely a culinary genius. Highly recommend this place to anyone regardless of their dietary preferences. Im obsessed with the Gyro lately but the Philly is a close runner up although literally every item gets an A+ from me

Everything I have tried. The Philly Cheese Steak. The buffalo chicken wings. The Mac and cheese. The Blue berry tart was incredible. Oh my gosh everything I ate was delicious.

Got the Smokin' Joe cheesesteak, steak salad, coleslaw and mac and cheese.

Cheesesteak was good. I liked the provolone and the seitan was shaved super thin. Bread was like a cloud, so soft and warm. Made it a little messy to eat, but I polished off the whole thing.

They use shell pasta instead of elbow mac in mac'n' cheese so big ups there.

Steak kale salad was decent, and uses the same thin-shaved seitan steak as the sandwiches.

Coleslaw is a must get though. It was pretty perfect.

Yesi at the counter was helpful and kind. Could do without the Thunberg photo, but otherwise, interior vibes are chill. Plenty of seating and plenty of photos of other vegan celebrities and pictures of famous Philly spots.

Will definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Philly Vegan Dream Come True!

From the moment we walked into Dina’s Vegan Deli and Desserts we were wrapped in warmth, kindness, and that unmistakable Philly charm. The décor alone deserves its own shoutout it was like stepping right into the heart of Philadelphia, only better, because here, everything is 100% vegan and 1000% delicious.

The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and you could tell immediately that the space was created with love every detail, from the lighting to the artwork to the layout, was spot on. Cleanliness? Top-notch. Sparkling clean rooms and a tidy, thoughtful presentation across the board.

Now, let’s talk about the food. I’ve been vegan for 11 years, and finding a Philly that actually lives up to the name has felt like chasing a unicorn. Well, consider this my unicorn moment. The vegan Philly sandwich was absolutely out of this world. That vegan whiz? To. Die. For. It was melty, savory, and everything I’ve been dreaming of for over a decade. Honestly, if I lived closer, I’d be eating this weekly at minimum.

As if the meal wasn’t already a showstopper, Miss Dina herself the heart and soul of this gem brought out a tray (yes, a whole tray!) of cupcakes after dinner, just because. The kids were in absolute heaven. It felt like being invited into someone’s home and treated like family if your family happened to be incredibly good at making gourmet vegan food and desserts, that is.

Customer service was above and beyond. Dina is the kind of person who makes you feel seen and appreciated kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what she does. Every staff member we interacted with was equally gracious and professional.

If I had one tiny suggestion (and I say this lovingly!), it would be to expand the drink options a bit. But honestly, that’s a small note in what was otherwise a perfect experience.

To sum it up: Dina’s Deli and Desserts lives up to its name and then some. It’s not just a meal it’s an experience. I left full, happy, and already planning my return.

Love the big selection! Personally grateful the cheese sauce isn’t spicy, but they do offer jalapeños if you want some kick. Generous portions, tasted delicious!
