Their black & bleu salad is deceptive in that it is actually completely being undersold and they hide it under the menu by saying 'beef tips' when it is actually some of the best marinated and glazed balsamic steak tips in existence. I think a ghost wrote their menu.
It is an unassuming bar and restaurant in a quaint tutor-like building built in 1932. It is comfortable and the staff welcoming. You enter mid building with a lobby oblong bar. Dining areas are to the left and right as well as upstairs in two lofts. The chicken wings were large and served with carrots, celery, fries and tasty blue cheese dressing. The Italian sandwich was generous and also served with fries. The decor is dark wood and leaded glass lamps.
Great first time experience! Kelly was awesome as a server. She was very friendly and we felt welcomed. The atmosphere was comfy. Old country grandpas house style. The tiki bar was a bit loud but to be expected from a small town bar. The food was decent, but portions were large so you’ll leave full or with a go box. Great little gem in a small town. 2 trains went by but didn’t see any ghosts. Will be visiting again!
